This is a rematch from UFC 295 when Pereira won the vacant light heavyweight title from Prochazka. It was a back-and-forth first round, but we had it slightly for Prochazka thanks to grappling Pereira to the ground. However, in round two, Pereira struck with a vicious elbow that put down Prochazka for good. That was in November, so the question is, has anything changed in the past seven months to affect this result?
Well yes and no. Pereira successfully defended his title at UFC 300, making quick work of Jamal Hill ā sustaining almost no damage, which made him able to turn around so fast for this show. Nothing has changed in regards to Pereira, heās still one of the most dangerous strikers in all of UFC.
However, weāre inclined to say Prochazka is better off now than he was in November during the first meeting. If you remember, that UFC 295 bout was Prochazkaās first in a year and a half. An ugly shoulder injury put him on the shelf that entire time so youād expect some ring rust. Weāve also seen Prochazka fight since the loss. Prochazka dropped Alexander Rakic at UFC 300 in a very impressive showing that surely shook off any remaining rust.
This is why we believe Prochazka has a real shot to upset Pereira. He should be sharper this time out than the first matchup and Pereira is famously hit-able in the octagon. You throw in the plus-money odds, and weāre confidently backing Prochazka in this one. An upset is brewing, weāre telling you!
Diego Lopes vs. Brian Ortega Betting Pick
This too was added last second after McGregor dropped out. This too is a banger fight thatās a betting toss up. Lopes is small favorite over Ortega on the moneyline, as seen below:
Lopes is one of the shiniest prospects in the UFC. After losing his UFC debut, heās rallied to win three straight times ā all by finish within two minutes. The 29-year-old is deadly both on the feet and on the ground. However, his caliber of competition hasnāt been the best so itās tough to say just how good Lopes is.
Ortega is a step-up for sure, and a legit contender at featherweight (heās fought and lost for the title twice). The last time we saw Ortega, he stunned Yair Rodriguez to win via submission. Ortega rolled his ankle during the fight introductions and was almost finished early on before recovering. It was an impressive comeback, especially after coming off a two-year in-ring hiatus.
Weāll be honest though, Lopes is more than capable of replicating Rodriguezās offense success that night. In fact, we think he wouldāve finished Ortega if in the same scenario. Lopesā hype is real to us, and he has a chance to vault himself into title contention with a big showing here. Weāre betting it happens!

We think Pageās defense is what wins him this fight. His movement, both on the feet and head, will be too much for Garry to consistently tag. We expect fireworks in this matchup but a Page win by decision at the end.
