Czech Liga Pro Fixtures For 4-21-2023 | |||
---|---|---|---|
Milan Zika | -175 | +225 | Zbynek Zientek |
Milan Zika | -275 | +200 | Michal Vedmoch |
Milan Zika | -150 | +110 | Jakub Levicky |
As you can see from the odds table, Milan Zika is favorite to win all three of his matches on Friday. The match against Jakub Levicky is the closest in terms of the betting odds, but at -150, Zika is still heavily favored to come through his final fixture of the day.
Milan Zika -175 vs Zbynek Zientek +225
In his opening match on Friday, Milan Zika will face Zbynek Zientek. Zientek played four games in the Czech Liga Pro on Tuesday, winning one, and losing three. The win was against Patrik Sturma (3-2), although Sturma would have his revenge later in the day when he defeated Zientek 3-2.
Prior to that, Zientek played four matches on April 12th, winning two, and losing two. In his last eight performances, he has won three, and lost five. If you think that sounds bad, in his last 12 matches, he has won three and lost nine. So if anything, Zientek’s form is improving.
Even given that, it’s hard to make a case for him to beat Zika. The two men did meet on Tuesday, and the result went Zika’s way. In a deciding 5th set, Zika made light work of his opponent, taking it 11-3. It’s like Zika upped his game when required to do so. Therefore our pick is a win for Zika.
Milan Zika -275 vs Michal Vedmoch +200
Michal Vedmoch hasn’t been in bad form lately. In his last 12 matches, he has won eight. And in his four matches on Tuesday, he won three of them. The wins came against Jaromir Kanok (3-2), Vasil Stempak (3-1), and Jaromir Kanok again (3-1, this time).
The last time Vedmoch and Zika met was on April 8th, and it didn't go well for Michal Vedmoch. Zika swept to a 3-0 win, and the set scores were all pretty comprehensive as well, with Zika winning them 11-4, 11-7, and 11-7.
Zika is -275 on the moneyline, and he is -120 with Bovada on the handicap spread, giving Vedmoch a 1.5 set start. This would mean Zika needs to win the match 3-1, or 3-0, and we think it’s worth the extra risk for the better reward. Back Zika to cover the spread.
Milan Zika -150 vs Jakub Levicky +110
Zika’s final fixture of the day is against one of many old foes on the Czech Table Tennis circuit, Jakub Levicky.
Levicky is a tricky customer, but at the moment his form is a bit up and down. Last Sunday, he played four, winning two, and losing two. The wins both came against the same player, Zdenek Vilimek. In the pairs first match, Levicky won 3-2. And later in the day, he won 3-1.
To put that into some context, when Levicky and Vilimek met four days before, Vilimek won that encounter 3-2. So, it’s not all one way traffic.
Anyway, back to last Sunday, and Levicky’s two defeats were to Martin Jaksa (3-2), and a certain Milan Zika (3-1).
Despite winning one set, Levicky never really seemed in the match. Zika raced into a two sets to nil lead, winning the opening two 11-7, and 11-6. Levicky pulled one back with an 11-6 win in the fourth. But Milan Zika regrouped and won the fourth set with ease (11-6) to take the match 3-1.
There’s nothing in the form to suggest Levicky can pull off an upset here, so we’re making Milan Zika our pick to win on the moneyline.
