Tottenham Hotspur (+140) versus Liverpool (+190)
Tottenham Hotspur take on Liverpool at White Hart Lane hoping to extend their unbeaten run to three games. Spurs drew 1-1 against Everton then beat Crystal Palace 1-0, but are yet to get into top gear, which could be because they only played two games during preseason.
Liverpool on the other hand have been involved in some thrilling games, beating Barcelona 4-0, losing to Mainz by the same scoreline, then beating Arsenal 4-3, losing to Burnley 2-0, and then beating Burton Albion in the EFL Cup 5-0.
Over 2.5 goals at -130 looks a good bet, as does both teams to score and their being over 2.5 goals at +105, and both teams to score at -170 with Bovada.
Harry Kane is yet to score this season and is +450 to score first, and +135 to score during the 90-minutes; both bets look like value in my eyes.
While Tottenham have not yet played as well as they can do, Liverpool defence has more holes than a Swiss cheese, and that makes me side with the boys in white.
Pick: Tottenham Hotspur at +140 and over 2.5 goals at -130
Hull City (+600) versus Manchester United (-210)
Hull City were early season favorites to finish rock bottom of the Premier League yet they have won both of their opening games, 2-1 versus champions Leicester City and 2-0 away at Swansea City.
Hull entertain Manchester United this weekend, another team that has won both of its opening games. United have looked like a great team once again with Jose Mourinho at the helm, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic looking to be in the form of his life once again.
Ibrahimovic is +300 to score first and +350 to score at least twice. That last bet looks good as Hull’s defenders have never come up against a player of the Swede’s quality before and could be completely overrun by him.
The bookies make the most likely result a 1-0 win to United, but I can see them hammering the Tiger by 3-0 which is currently +800. Sorry Hull fans, but this is the game you get brought down to Earth with a serious bump.
Pick: Manchester United to win at -210
Manchester City (-345) versus West Ham United (+850)
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side are top of the league after two wins from two games, including scoring six goals and conceding two.
Sergio Aguero is in unstoppable form and +240 to score first in this game and -180 to score at any time.
I particularly like the -265 on Man City to score first and to win, also the City to win 2-0 at +575.
However, odds of +850 on a West Ham win are tempting, especially when you consider they beat City 2-1 at City and held them to a 2-2 draw at home. That said, West Ham are struggling for goals, and their European exploits seem to be taking their toll on the squad even at this early stage of the season.
The tie at +450 has some value, but it is difficult to see past the win for Man City despite the short -345 odds.
Pick: Manchester City at -345
