EPL Matchday 10 Game Lines Comparisons

By Matt Pitt

Tottenham Hotspur (-160) vs. Leicester City (+425)

Heung Min Son

Tottenham Hotspur are the only remaining unbeaten Premier League team but they face a difficult home game against reigning champions Leicester City.

Spurs must do without injured duo Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane for Leicester City's visit, the latter not returning until around November 6. Even without the firepower of Kane, Spurs can threaten in attack thanks to Heung-Min Son; Son is +450 to open the scoring and +140 to score at any time.

Leicester have struggled for consistency this season and currently occupy 12th place. A 3-1 home win against Crystal Palace will have boosted the Foxes’ confidence, but they need Jamie Vardy to find his scoring boots again. The England frontman has now gone 10 games in all competitions without finding the back of the net.

Tottenham should be too strong for an out of sorts Leicester, although Leicester could cause Spurs problems, especially as the home side is without a top defender through injury (Alderweireld).

Pick: Totteham to win 2-1 at +700

Sunderland (+600) vs. Arsenal (-260)

Theo Walcott

Bottom of the table Sunderland are still looking for their first win of the season and probably won’t get it against Arsenal this weekend, not least because they are without nine first team regulars.

David Moyes’ Black Cats look like a team already doomed despite being in the early stages of the season. Their record of no wins, two draws and seven defeats speaks volumes. As does the fact they have only score six goals and conceded 16 in their opening nine games.

Arsenal missed a chance to go two points clear at the top of the table when they were held to a 0-0 draw at home to Middlesbrough last weekend. I doubt they will slip up again.

The Gunners are scoring for fun (19 goals so far this season) and will be relishing taking on the leaky Sunderland defence. Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott are producing some awesome performances up front and are +350 and +400 to open the scoring, and -110 and +105 to put the ball in the Sunderland net during the 90 minutes.

This could be a real hammering for Sunderland whose fans must be dreading this weekend’s action. Arsenal with a -1 spread looked a snip at -170, as does the double result of half time/full time.

Pick: Arsenal-Arsenal half time/full time result at -130

Manchester United (-550) vs. Burnley (+1600)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

After a great start to the campaign, Manchester United have gone off the boil and find themselves seventh in the table. Without a win in three league games, during which time they have drawn 1-1 with Stoke, 0-0 with Liverpool, and been hammered 4-0 at Chelsea; pressure is mounting on manager Jose Mourinho.

Burnley moved up to 14th in the table after their 2-1 home win against Everton, but will have their work cut out to find a similar result away at Old Trafford. Burnley have lost all three away games this season, scoring only once while allowing nine. They could be in for a torrid time as they face a potential backlash from Manchester United, a team with a point to prove.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has four league goals this season, but hasn’t scored in the Premier League since September 10 so you could say the Swede is due a goal or two. If you think Ibrahimovic will score first in this game, you can find odds of +300 with -120 being the price for him scoring before the final whistle.

Expect a dogged display from Burnley but a victory for Manchester United, probably by two goals to nil.

Pick: Manchester United to win 2-0 at +395
