EPL Matchday 6 Betting Advice
The English Premier League progresses to its sixth game this weekend and sees an out-of-form Manchester United desperate to get back to winning ways. And let’s not forget about a London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.
Getting Your Week 6 EPL Bets Right

Manchester United (-145) vs. Leicester City (+390)
Before a ball was kicked Manchester United were touted as genuine title contenders, but three defeats within a week have seen them drift to fifth or six favorites, and the club is desperate to get back to winning way.
United host champions Leicester City at Old Trafford this weekend in a game they tied 1-1 last season; anything other than all three points will, amazingly, see the pressure mount on Jose Mourinho who has now lost 14 of his last 32 games as a manager.
Leicester have struggle for form so far, winning two, drawing one, and losing two of their opening five games. Last time out, Leicester were thumped 4-1 away at Liverpool, but will see this upcoming fixture as one they can get a result from.
The draw is priced at +290 and I think that represents value. United are under immense pressure, while Leicester have the tools to frustrate them. One of those players capable of hurting United is Jamie Vardy and he is +700 to open the scoring, a good bet considering how United will have to attack from the whistle, and Leicester are a great counter attacking team.
Pick: Tie at +290 and Jamie Vardy to score first at +700
Liverpool (-500) vs. Hull City (+1300)
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now +550 second-favorites to win the 2016-17 Premier League title after showing the world their brand of attacking soccer. Klopp’s men are now four games unbeaten, including a 4-1 demolition of Leicester City last time they played.
Liverpool have goals in them, but look shaky in defense. However, Hull City’s attack is rather toothless so expect The Red to go on the all-out attack in this fixture, which could result in plenty of goals being scored.
Over 2.5 goals is available at Bovada at -180 and that does seem like a bargain. If you think the floodgates will open and more than 3.5 goals will be scored, that price is +135; I think the former is your best bet.
Hull have adapted well to life in the Premier League but have lost each time they have played one of the top six sides in the division, something that is almost guaranteed to happen when they travel to in-form Liverpool.
Pick: Liverpool to win at -500 and over 2.5 goals scored at -180
Arsenal (+130) vs. Chelsea (+200)
The pick of the weekend’s fixtures has to be Arsenal at home to Chelsea in the London derby. Both teams have won three, drawn one, and lost one, both teams losing on home soil to Liverpool.
Arsenal lost 1-0 at home to Chelsea last season. If you think the same will happen this week you can find odds of +950. However, I think the most likely result is a tie, with 1-1 at +500 looking tempting.
The Gunners are slight favorites going into this fixture even though Chelsea look more solid under the leadership of Antonio Conte. Arsenal will have to defend stoically if they are to prevent Diego Costa getting on the scoresheet and the Spaniard seems to be back to his brilliant best.
Chelsea on the other hand need to win the midfield battle and stop Arsenal from playing their touch-and-pass style of soccer otherwise their own back four will struggle to deal with the fleet-footed attack of their opponents.
Both teams would be happy with a share of the spoils so early in the season, and that is where my money is going on this game.
Pick: Tie at +240 or 1-1 at +500
