Vegas Golden Knights (+550)
The Knights finished the season with a record of 40-14-2 overall, scoring 82 points outright. They go into the playoffs with a record of 7-3-0 in their last 10 games, which will give them a great deal of momentum as they enter their first fixture of the postseason.
They have relied on Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone to put up the numbers this season, with 24 goals and 27 assists and 21 goals and 40 assists, respectively. As well as that, the likes of Marchessault and Tuch have been productive on offense, scoring 18 goals each.
Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has been crucial to the success of the Knights once again. He took part in 36 games and had a GAA of 1.98. If the Knights are to continue on the trajectory they’ve been on in the regular season, Fleury’s performance will be key.

Colorado Avalanche (+450)
Despite finishing second in the West Division, the Avalanche remain the favorites to come out on top in the NHL this season. Mikko Rantanen has been the MVP standard offensive player for his team this year, picking up 30 goals and 34 assists.
Alongside him, the unstoppable Nathan MacKinnon and the Swede Gabriel Landeskog have picked up 20 goals apiece. Between the three of them, they have the offensive power to pick apart any defence in the league, which is something the oddsmakers clearly recognize.
At the other end, it’s been Grubauer and Cole who have been dominating things for Colorado. They provide quality in defense which makes this Avalanche team arguably the strongest in the league on paper. In a series of games, there will be few teams better than the Avs.
If you couldn't be at the game last night, toss a virtual hat for JT's three goals!

Carolina Hurricanes (+750)
Our final pick is the team from Carolina. While we have excluded certain other contenders, the Lightning, for example, it’s not to say they don’t have a shot, this season is full of great teams and it could go any number of ways.
Seb Aho has been formidable for the Hurricanes this year, netting 20 goals and assisting 33 over the course of the season. Swiss winger Nino Niederreiter has been another major contributor for the Hurricanes this year, picking up 20 goals and 14 assists. Carolina doesn’t possess the same kind of offensive output as the aforementioned teams, but they do have a very well-rounded roster.
In terms of goaltenders, it’s a toss-up as to who has been the most valuable. Between Nedeljkovic, Mrazek, and Reimer, it’s hard to say which of these 3 has been best. Rookie Ndeljkovic has some of the best stats in the league, but whether he can continue this kind of form into the postseason remains to be seen.
