Jets vs Avalanche Odds
The Avalanche are the clear home favorite with moneyline odds of -150. The Jets sit at +136. It's the fourth meeting of the campaign, with Winnipeg winning three of them. That bodes well for their chances here.
Winnipeg vs Colorado Betting Outlook
The Jets are heading to the postseason and have finally started to find their best after a brutal stretch. Winnipeg owns a 7-3-0 record in their previous 10 outings and has actually won five of the last six. During that span, the Jets have beaten the likes of New Jersey, Nashville, Detroit, and most recently, Minnesota.
The victory over the Wild officially booked their spot in the playoffs. Rick Bowness's team came out of the gates firing, taking an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Adam Lowry and Mark Scheifele, Mason Appleton ultimately added another in the third.
Winnipeg won't have it easy in the postseason though as they're set to face the Vegas Golden Knights. That being said, if the Jets continue to play at such a high level, anything is possible in that first round. Thursday marks the final game of the regular season for them.
The Avs have been dealing with health issues all season long. But, that hasn't stopped the defending Stanley Cup champions from remaining in contention. And with this roster slowly getting healthy, the sky is the limit as they look to defend their crown.
Gabriel Landeskog is yet to play this season but it looks like he could return for the playoffs if rehab continues to trend in the right direction. After all, Landeskog is one of their best players. Also, Artturi Lehkonen is on the verge of coming back as well, a guy with 20 goals and 29 assists in 2022-23.
The Avs went toe to toe with the Oilers earlier in the week but saw a five-game winning streak come to an end as Evan Bouchard bagged an OT winner. Ben Meyers scored the lone goal for Colorado. On a more positive note, they thrashed Winnipeg 5-1 back in February at Ball Arena.
This is the second-last game of the campaign for Jared Bednar's group, who close out the season on Friday against the Nashville Predators. A first-round meeting in the playoffs with the Seattle Kraken awaits, who will finish as the top team in the West Wild Card. The Avalanche meanwhile are going to be the top seed out of the Central Division.
Jets vs Avalanche Prediction
Winnipeg has played really well against Colorado this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see them take another from the Avs.
