Friday evening brings an all-Western Conference matchup in Alberta as the Anaheim Ducks head to the Scotiabank Saddledome to face the surging Calgary Flames, who are still fighting for a playoff spot. The puck drops at 9 PM ET. Anaheim was just in Vancouver and lost a 3-2 overtime heartbreaker to the Canucks, their second straight defeat. Calgary on the other hand won their second in a row, beating the Minnesota Wild in a low-scoring 1-0 affair. Keep reading for the Ducks vs Flames odds.

Ducks vs Flames Odds
As you can see, the odds are heavily favoring Calgary at all three sportsbooks. -340 at BetOnline would offer the most value, while Anaheim at +297 could really be a solid pick if they pull off the upset. But, there is an apparent reason the Flames are expected to take this one. They've won four consecutive meetings and five of the last six.
Anaheim vs Calgary Betting Outlook
It's been another rough season for the Ducks, who are very much in a rebuild. They're currently 21-35-9, which puts them towards the bottom of the Western Conference. On both ends of the ice, Anaheim is seemingly a disaster, too. The Ducks are allowing 4.03 goals per game (32nd) and scoring just 2.51 times per night (31st). Trevor Zegras and Troy Terry are about the only bright spots offensively. Zegras leads the way with 20 goals and 33 assists, while Terry has 17 goals and 30 assists.
In a battle of two of the worst teams in the West Wednesday, Anaheim was outdueled by Vancouver on the road. Both squads continuously exchanged blows, with Terry opening the scoring in the first. Come overtime, it didn't take long for the Nucks to put this one away, with JT Miller scoring 20 seconds into the extra period. The Ducks' road trip ends here in Calgary before returning home, but it won't be easy considering their distraught track record against the Flames.
The Flames certainly aren't the same animal as 2021-22, but they've still got a chance to make the playoffs. At the moment, Darryl Sutter's group is on the outside looking in when it comes to the Wild Card race. However, it's not by much. Calgary trails the Winnipeg Jets by four points for that final berth and will need to keep winning games. There's still a meeting left with the Jets as well. If the Flames can continue to trend in the right direction, it's going to really help. Taking down teams like the Stars and Wild definitely shows what this team is capable of.
Sutter's men couldn't beat Filip Gustavsson until the shootout on Tuesday, with Tyler Toffoli scoring the decisive goal. Scoring tends to be an issue this season, netting just 3.09 times per contest. That being said, Friday presents an opportunity to really break out and score some goals. Plus, they just put up five goals on a solid Stars team on Monday. To be honest, these next three games are a clear opportunity for Calgary to grab wins. The Senators and Coyotes follow, two opponents the Flames should have zero problems taking care of. But for now, the focus will be on Anaheim and extending this unbeaten streak. One day at a time.
Ducks vs Flames Prediction
The Ducks vs Flames odds definitely favor the home team here and I do expect them to live up to expectations. But, there is little value in the Calgary moneyline. Instead, I'm looking at the over, which has been hit in three of the last four meetings.
