The Colorado Avalanche will have a prime opportunity to get back in the win column on Friday night as they play host to the lowly Arizona Coyotes at Ball Arena. The puck is scheduled to drop at 9 PM ET. Colorado is playing well lately but did lose their most recent contest to the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 5-2. By no surprise, Arizona also lost on Wednesday to the Edmonton Oilers in overtime. Find the Coyotes vs Avalanche odds below.

Coyotes vs Avalanche Odds
As you can see, the odds are incredibly lopsided here. The Coyotes are sitting at +400 at BetUS, while the Avs come in at -500. However, there could be value in Arizona. They had won three in a row against Colorado before a loss in their last meeting in mid-March by a score of 3-2.
Arizona vs Colorado Betting Preview
By no surprise to practically anyone, the Yotes are having a brutal year. They're currently third-last in the Western Conference with a 27-33-12 record and are evidently in a rebuild. In a perfect world, Arizona would probably love to keep losing in order to potentially get the first overall pick in the draft, which is set to be Connor Bedard, a true franchise cornerstone. It remains to be seen if the Coyotes will get that privilege, though.
On a more positive note, Arizona is actually looking better in recent weeks. The team is 6-1-3 in their last 10 games, grabbing wins over the Canucks, Flames, Blues, and Wild, among others. Winger Clayton Keller is really having a solid campaign, scoring 32 goals and tallying 44 assists in 71 contests. He's certainly picked up most of the scoring load throughout the season.
The Yotes managed to stick with the Oilers on Wednesday but Connor McDavid's brilliance proved to be too much in OT as he scored his 60th goal. Offensively, Keller scored twice, while defenceman JJ Moser added another. Arizona has shown the ability to stick with some of the best teams in the NHL lately, therefore Friday's matchup should be an interesting one.
Despite a plethora of injuries over the course of the 2022-23 season, Colorado is still right in the playoff mix. As it stands, they'd play the Wild in the first round as the No. 3 seed in the Central Division. The Avs sit at 41-23-6 and have won seven of their previous 10 games and were riding a six-game unbeaten run before the defeat to the Penguins.
Devon Toews and JT Compher both scored for the Avs, who were outshot 45-30 by Sidney Crosby and Co. Alexandar Georgiev allowed four goals in total (one empty net) but still put forward a relatively decent performance, making 40 saves. Every single game is absolutely crucial for Colorado right now because they only trail Dallas by two points, who currently lead the Central. With the Coyotes up next in back-to-back matchups before a visit to Anaheim, this is three contests where the Avs must take advantage and get back to their winning ways.
Coyotes vs Avalanche Prediction
While Arizona has shown well against Colorado in recent memory, I do think the Avs take this one. That being said, the moneyline offers minimal value and the Coyotes tend to make it close against the defending Stanley Cup champions. That's why the +1.5 with +150 odds on the puck line is a money pick.
