Will the Baltimore Ravens beat the Los Angeles Ram in Week 14?

With an expanded scope, there are inevitably going to be some games that appear less desirable on the surface. At Online Sports Betting, we see how to wager on a game with plenty of volatility. Now, Saints vs Giants bets preview a matchup that feels full of traps.

Saints vs Giants Bets Muck Things Up

Saints vs Giants bets muck things up a little. The problem immediately started with a soft opening of New Orleans favored by 3.5 to 4 points. After that, the line shifted up to five early on Monday. Right now, the Giants are 2-10 and among the worst teams in the NFL. Everything is out of sync. Meanwhile, New Orleans has won two of three games under interim coach Darren Rizzi. The problem for the Saints is the defense still has bouts of inconsistency. New Orleans allowed 322 yards against Los Angeles but 156 were on the ground.

New Orleans looks faster on defense but goes on the road where they only won once all season (against Dallas in Week 2). One of their bigger weapons was Taysom Hill, who was being utilized as a Tight End and a scrambling Running Back. His change-of-pace is now gone after suffering a torn ACL last week. Derek Carr will have Alvin Kamara at least and some depth in the form of Foster Moreau and Juwan Johnson. Then again, does the New York team even care?

The problem with this Week 14 matchup lies in the dilemma of a team who is still trying to win against a team who is not even sure what they want. It is not a secret that a majority of fans want the Giants to tank for the number one draft pick. At this point, they may have the inside track realistically. If they lose out, the top choice for 2025 is more than likely theirs. New Orleans still has a very slight chance of winning the NFC South. The Saints are only two games out of first place. 8-9 might be enough.

New Orleans would have to win four of their remaining five games and that is not impossible. New York could start Drew Lock who does throw the ball down the field. However, he makes considerably poor decisions. Derek Carr is a little wiser with the football. That expected to be the difference Sunday.

Going A Different Way

Alright, Saints vs Giants bets look at going a different way with the game total on Sunday. It is intriguing that both teams could combine for 41+ points. Weather will not be horrible in the Tri-State area. That is the good news. Even better is the fact that the Saints have topped 20 points in three of their previous four games. New York allowed 27 to the equally lowly Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving. That paved the way for Dallas to win their first home game of the 2024 season.

Team speed is more in abundance with the Saints. Tyrone Tracy has some potential against one of the weakest run defenses in the NFL. However, the Giants' offense is dead last in scoring and even worse defensively against the rush when it comes to yards per carry yielded. New York gives up too many big plays while not generating enough. At the least on Sunday, the Giants have a chance to make a few to keep things somewhat close and increase the chances on the over.

Another piece of good news for New Orleans is that Derek Carr will still throw 25-30+ passes. That seems to be the plan so that Alvin Kamara and others get the ball in space. It will be fun to see if New York puts up much resistance in a season where most players have seemingly checked out.

Numbers could slide back to a game total at or under 40 so watch. Also, the New Orleans team total could be in play if the Over lands at 23.5. Keep an eye on that.

Are We Looking At More Props Already?

So, the Saints vs Giants bets ask are we looking at more props already? That answer is maybe. At any rate, there may be something fun to hedge on. Once again, the winning margin could be one for the taking. Hedging at 1-6 and 7-12 points combined could mean a little profit. The Saints winning by 1-6 points is at +275 but 7-12 rolls in at +400. Two same-value bets would produce a profit if the Saints win as expected. Few are expecting a blowout here.

The correct score may be going too far. Honestly, trying to guess that is fool's gold. Although, Online Sports Betting was kind of close with the Giants last week, they scored a few more points than anticipated.

If there is a choice, take the Saints by 1-6 points at +275 to play it safe Sunday.
