The AFC South is our focus next here at Online Sports Betting. Week 14 of the National Football League takes a look at one of those games which could shape the race for the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Jaguars and Titans both have those aspirations in mind. Tennessee (3-9) and Jacksonville (2-10) are in a race for the cellar. Sometimes these are the games which wind up being the most chaotic. The Jaguars vs Titans Bets preview a matchup of two teams struggling mightily.
- What? NFL 2024/2025 Week Fourteen - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans
- Where? Nissan Stadium - Nashville, Tennessee
- When? Sunday December 8th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS
Week 14 previews get into the later games after this. One of the biggest questions may be what about the Monday night game. Anyway, teams who will be off this weekend are Denver, Indianapolis, Washington, Baltimore, Houston, and New England. It seems like any time off will only help those who are injured or not 100%. Can anyone believe a 3-9 team is not completely eliminated yet from the playoffs? Hey, it is true. Jacksonville, Las Vegas, and New England are officially eliminated from AFC playoff contention.

Jaguars vs Titans Bets Ask Who Wants To Win
Jaguars vs Titans Bets ask who wants to win. While Houston and Indianapolis battle for the division, Jacksonville and Tennessee clash for the basement and maybe more. As we mentioned above, the two teams potentially could still draft the top pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. Jacksonville needs little help here. Not only are they 2-10, but Trevor Lawrence is injured and will be out for this game. Meanwhile, Tennessee has most of its offense complement in tact.
The craziest thing is Tennessee may be playing the worst it has all season. Yes, the Titans got destroyed against Washington last week allowing 463 yards (267 on the ground). Tennessee is a hard team to figure out. So is the AFC South. The Titans beat the Texans the week before getting bodied by the Commanders. Just when Titans fans thought they kind of had something, it was snatched away from them. On the other hand, the same thing can be said about Jacksonville.
It is crazy but Jacksonville was a division champion in 2022. The Jaguars went 9-8 in 2023 before falling off a cliff this year. At 2-10, Jacksonville is in prime contention for the top overall draft pick. Would the Jaguars take a quarterback? Okay, we may be getting too far ahead of ourselves here.
This game scares anyone and for good reason. Will Levis still makes plenty of mistakes and Tennessee quarterbacks have thrown 13 interceptions along with a slew of fumbles. Jacksonville is not far behind and yet somehow one team does have to win. The joke of a tie is not completely baseless. AFC South games are often down to the last score. It feels like a Jacksonville cover is near.
What If Mac Jones Could Do Well?
Next, Jaguars vs Titans bets wonder what if Mac Jones could do well. Games like last week were different. Jones came in and looked pretty good against Houston. Jones threw 32 passes without getting picked off, tossed two touchdowns, and 235 yards. Despite the 23-20 loss, the team looked better with Jones compared to starter Trevor Lawrence. There remains a possibility that Lawrence could be out for the season (concussion, shoulder).
Anyhow, while everyone expects the worst, typically AFC South games often top just over 40 points. Jones is facing a pretty good Tennessee defense that still gives up 27.7 points per game. It should remind bettors of the New York Jets. The points seem to still come despite the yards allowed. Mac Jones should feel good about his chances of throwing multiple touchdowns on Sunday. That prop of Over 1.5 touchdowns likely will be in plus territory.
Also, Jacksonville is +115 to get to 20 points on Sunday. That is a reasonable number. Divisional games like this produce some unexpected results. Look at the Dallas-New York game from Thanksgiving. The two teams combined for 47 points. A similar scenario may play out in Nashville this weekend.
Again, we like our chances with Mac Jones leading Jacksonville to 20 or more points on Sunday afternoon in Tennessee. This could be another AFC South barnburner.
Some Of The Crazier Ideas For This Sunday Game
Some of the crazier ideas for this Sunday game remain out there for the taking. The odds of seeing overtime are at a respectful +1400. No one should risk a ton of money on this but divisional games like this produce strange results. Would overtime be a huge surprise? That answer is no. Winning margins are too scary here but expecting a rout is unlikely. The other idea is that a 2-point conversion could be likely in a game like this. Neither team has anything to play for anyway. BetOnline has a good number at +190.
Also, there are some other options too. Both teams to score 20+ points is +275 currently at BetOnline. Expect this to dip around +250 or a little worse. However, anything better than +225 is worth a look. At OSB, this one is on our radar.
Finally, the two-point conversion may be the best bet out of the entire bunch here for Sunday afternoon.
