Panthers vs Broncos Bets And Can Carolina Salvage Anything?
Panthers vs Broncos bets asks can Carolina salvage anything. This season feels like another train wreck for Carolina with injuries, quarterback drama, and poor offensive and defensive play. It all snowballed into a 1-6 start that sees a team looking to again sell at the November 5th trade deadline. Worse, Carolina's Andy Dalton was involved in a minor car accident earlier this week. If things could worse, oh wait they can in Carolina.
Alas, the Panthers have given up a league-worst 243 points on the season. Teams walk in and score 30+ points as the Panthers have allowed 34+ in each of the previous four weeks. The defense has only generated three turnovers in the past five weeks while the offense has turned it over eight in that span. Teams are doing whatever they want against Carolina. Rushing attacks are averaging 4.7 yards a carry and have scored 13 touchdowns to go along with 14 via the air.
Somewhat fortunate for Carolina is that Denver's offense is not rewriting history books. However, the Broncos did score 33 in New Orleans last week and this Week 8 contest is in Denver. Can Carolina handle the altitude? If Denver runs the ball a lot, that will tire Carolina considerably. A late cover becomes increasingly likely if that is the case. Denver also has the third-best defense in the league and allows a mere 15.1 points per game.
More than likely, Denver will rise to 5-3 and keep its wildcard position solidly. Carolina did beat the Las Vegas Raiders in Andy Dalton's first week under center but things have changed now. Teams have adjusted and Denver's defense might even chip into the scoring. Cover on Denver coming.
Bo Nix A Two Way Threat This Week
So, Panthers vs Broncos bets tease Bo Nix as a two way threat this week The Panthers struggle so badly with their Front Seven and on the line of scrimmage. This applies to both sides of the ball but particularly on defense. Carolina's line seems to get manhandled and Denver can run the ball at 4.7 yards per carry. Bo Nix has made his mistakes but does have 255 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. That goes along with the 1200+ yards passing.
Problems with the Denver Broncos relying on high-output for offense are many. This Broncos team does often get off to slow starts. Five miscues in the first two games (0-2) started Denver in a hole. A big reason they are 4-1 in the previous five games is fewer turnovers (5). Better starts and not making mistakes are vital for the Broncos offense even against the Carolina Panthers.
With an Over moving up to 43.5, this could be rather troubling. Carolina cannot score points and have difficulty scoring a lot away from home. In three other road games not named Las Vegas, the Panthers scored 7,10, and 10 points respectively. Asking Denver to score potentially 35 points is asking a lot.
Watch for the numbers here between Thursday and Sunday. The feeling is that a shift or few shifts is on the horizon here. After all, a little more wind might potentially alter what expects to be a warm afternoon. The Broncos Over of 27.5 rolls in at +115 via BetOnline. Look at this as opposed to the Game Total until the weekend at least.
Here A Prop, There A Prop!
Okay, the Panthers vs Broncos bets declare here a prop, there a prop. This gets fun and challenging at the same time. Often, things seem cut and dry when they are not and vice versa. Frankly, we hit a few props on the Thursday night game with Denver in Week 7 by luck rather than circumstance. Denver winning by 23 was so unexpected even with the way New Orleans had been playing.
The plan may be to try for the anytime defense/special teams touchdown from Denver on Sunday. Expect that number to be around +400 to +450. Another fun consideration is the field goal prop. The Over of 47.5 yards is at -110. The rarefied air in Denver makes 50 yard field goals an easier shot.
Now, we also like Will Lutz over 1.5 field goals but not at -150. Instead, taking that field goal prop for distance is a safer idea than even the neither team to score 30. .
