Steelers vs Commanders Bets Could Be A Slugfest

Steelers vs Commanders bets could be a slugfest. Many seem confounded by the starts of both teams and rightfully so. Jayden Daniels blew into Washington D.C. and immediately changed the culture. The Commanders can score points (they rank third in the NFL). However, the past few weeks have seen the defense come to the forefront just enough. Pittsburgh does not have the most prolific offense but their defense can be a beast in its own right.

So, the Steelers allow a meager 14.9 points per game. They come off a 26-18 win over the New York Giants last week on Monday Night Football. Pittsburgh got some much needed rest with the bye week but could they be a little rusty perhaps? Some were surprised by the game total of 45.5. At OSB, we were too somewhat. A quick look at the weather forecast reveals a chance of occasional showers on Sunday afternoon. Expect most of the showers to take place in the morning. Anything can change.

Now, the Commanders keep showing an ability to get out of tough situations. How could this game go? Think back to when the Commanders played the Chicago Bears. So, the game was close throughout. It appeared like the Bears were going to pull off the road when. Then, the Hail Mary happened. Jayden Daniels put himself forever into Washington D.C. lore with a touchdown pass that left the Bears shellshocked.

Pittsburgh showed some vulnerability against the Giants. Washington lived a bit on the edge against the Giants too. Both teams face huge divisional clashes in Week 11. Which one looks ahead err blinks? The feeling is this game may go a bit more conservatively than some expect.

Steelers And Commanders Will Likely Go Down To The Fourth Quarter

Naturally, the Steelers vs Commanders bets will likely go down to the fourth quarter on Sunday. Pittsburgh and Washington play this way often. The Commanders have seen this happen in three of their past four contests. Expect that to be 4 of 5 after Sunday afternoon. Some think Pittsburgh has been here before but remember that the Commanders have been tested pretty often. Even against Baltimore, Washington nearly pulled that game out late.

Injury reports for Washington were still a little concerned with the ribs of Jayden Daniels. After all, the Pittsburgh Steelers defense and T.J. Watt were probably licking their lips. It seems that Daniels is feeling much better this week compared to last week. He will need to be fully mobile against one of the best pass rushers of this generation. Furthermore, Pittsburgh's overall defense is a complex one that often bends but rarely breaks too much.

The Steelers like to change looks, and force the quarterback to beat them. Daniel Jones, two weeks ago, got fooled twice and it cost the Giants a likely win. Pittsburgh was not at its best but they were good enough. The Steelers know they need to be better this week because of what will come in Week 11. However, the same can be said for Washington who faces Philadelphia in Philadelphia next. Again, this game feels like a dress rehearsal of sorts for both teams.

With the numbers moving the way they are, playing this a little safer may be prudent. One is getting a bit more to play the Commanders to win by a field goal. Is it the most glamorous number? No. Does Daniels have the ability to just will this team to a win? That answer is yes.

First To Score And Maybe A Couple More Firsts

Finally  the Steelers vs Commanders bets go for a first to score and more firsts. This is always interesting because anything can happen. After all, a team can get the ball first and a turnover happens. What if there's a Pick Six or a fumble return for a touchdown? Again, a bettor never quite knows. One of the things we do know is that Washington likes to get out front. Even against the Ravens, Washington tallied a field goal early.

The idea centers on a streak that goes back to September for Washington. Arizona is the last team to score first on Washington. That happened all the way back on September 29th. Pittsburgh can control the ball but often they do start a bit slow. Again, keeping this simple is best.

Even with plenty of props that have been released, this is one to target for Washington on Sunday afternoon.
