Bills vs Jets Betting Numbers For NFL Week Six
2024 NFL Week 6 Numbers | |||

Buffalo Bills (-2.5) | -108 | -110 | -115 |
New York Jets | -112 | -110 | -105 |
Bills vs Jets Bets And The Interim
Bills vs Jets bets and the Interim, coach that is. The problem when examining the New York Jets is trying to make sense of the New York Jets. After a 23-17 loss in London on Sunday, Robert Saleh was relieved of his Head Coaching duties on Tuesday morning. Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich takes over the coaching spot for now. This appears to be the only move for an offense that ranks 27th in the NFL.
Not all is rosy for the Buffalo Bills either. Though they are 3-2 and in first in the AFC East, expectations are higher. The Bills dropped a tough 23-20 loss to the Houston Texans. Buffalo fell behind 14-3 early, came back to tie the game in the fourth quarter then lost with no time left on the clock. After the previous week's blowout via the Baltimore Ravens, this performance was good but not good enough.
This game will feature dry and cooler conditions. Expect some winds of 10-15 mph from the WNW direction. That could impact the kicking game minimally. Also, Buffalo will be playing their third straight game on the road. With several injuries, the Bills are hurting on and off the field.
Honestly, Buffalo's defense has bent but only broke once (against Baltimore). The Bills can yield plenty of yards and that is concerning. So is the Jets' offensive issues. What is one to do here? Does New York get a bump from a new coach? Can Josh Allen avenge what happened the last time he was at MetLife Stadium? The answer is no one knows. Buffalo has the punch to edge New York on Monday night.
What To Make Of These Spread Changes?
Now, Bills vs Jets bets ask what to make of these spread changes? Granted, the spread is now moving between 2 and 3.5 points for the Monday night contest. Some pundits have suggested this might even go to 1.5 points. Bettors could get easily aggravated because timing here might be everything. Closing numbers would not be surprised to see something in the 1.5 to 2.5 range.
As we previously mentioned, the Jets' offense likely does not get magically fixed by the dismissal of Robert Saleh. New York cannot run the football effectively. They average a mere 3.6 yards a carry. Yardage ranks are dead last and average is 30th in the NFL. Winning football games can be tough when the starting running back averages three yards a carry and 13 raps per game.
Josh Allen comes off the worst passing performance of his career for Buffalo though. He went 9-for-30 in the loss to Houston. Though Allen has not thrown an interception all season, he has fumbled three times. Overall, the quarterback has accounted for 10 total touchdowns but has not thrown for more than 263 yards in 2024. Allen has attempted only an average of 26.2 passes per contest.
So, Aaron Rodgers is throwing roughly 10 passes more a night compared to the younger Josh Allen. When does Buffalo's balance change (134 passes, 139 runs)? If Allen can hold on to the ball, Buffalo can beat the spread on Monday night and the Jets. If not, the Jets win this game. Expect Allen to redeem himself.
Dig Into The Props
Bills vs Jets bets digs into the props next. NFL Football Online Betting Options can seem like an avalanche of choices that border on overload. Let us try to keep things simple for Monday night.
Josh Allen has to throw an interception at some point. In 134 passes, Allen has not thrown one. That is a significant reason for his QBR of 77.6. His career high is 76.6 when he finished second in the NFL MVP voting. Buffalo is going to want to take a few more shots down the field. Allen is their best runner but he can only take so many shots.
If one trusts inevitability, Allen will throw a pick. At -125, it is not the safest bet but that is one worth taking a look at. Allen's alt rushing total of 40 yards is +115. With Buffalo banged up, maybe he does take off more again. Maybe.
From the anytime touchdown department, there is a coin flip between James Cook and Josh Allen. Remember, Allen has to get a rushing or receiving touchdown for this to count. Allen stands at +120 with Cook at +130. It almost feels like these two should be flipped. Our best bet is to let Cook, well cook.
