Anyhow, football enjoys games like this because one never knows on any given Sunday. Anyway, the Ravens vs Giants bets preview a matchup that features a have and definitely have not.

Ravens vs Giants Bets Aim For Revenge

Ravens vs Giants bets aim for revenge. Yes, the Baltimore Ravens had an extra week to sit and stew around after the home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Baltimore played well in moments but fell behind by double digits before trying to rally very late. Now, the New York Giants tried something similar. They fell behind 14-3, rallied, and had overtime in their grasps. Unfortunately, disaster struck when the attempt to tie the game was naturally blocked. That has been the Giants season in a nutshell.

The New York defense did play pretty well against a decimated New Orleans team. Yes, the Giants gave up only 14 points. However, they managed a mere 11 at home against a team who had been regularly giving up 25-30+ points relatively consistently. That is a bad sign for a team who is 2-11. Drew Lock attempted 49 passes in a game where he only completed 21 for 227 yards. New York managed 325 yards in a game where the Giants looked nonexistent for large stretches.

Baltimore needs a win in the worst way to set up their season defining showdown against Pittsburgh in Week 16. That will undoubtedly decide the AFC North. Meanwhile, the mess that is the Giants is striving for the number one pick. As of early Monday, the New York Giants had about a 40% chance of netting the top pick for the 2025 NFL Draft. Can the Giants even stay close given Lamar Jackson's dominance over the NFC East. He has lost only twice (one was in New York a few seasons ago).

Another huge problem for New York is generating turnovers and interceptions. That would keep the game close. The Giants picked off a Derek Carr pass on Sunday. It was the first interception of the season. It is not a joke. Baltimore wants the victory and the revenge. Yes, this could be a rout given the expected dry weather.

Does One Go Over Or Under?

Now, Ravens vs Giants bets wonders does one go over or under on Sunday. Again, this game features a team who cannot score (the Giants) and a team in Baltimore who can pop off for 30+ points at any time. Baltimore ranks third in points averaging 29.5 a game. New York scores about half that pace. The Giants have been especially brutal at home where they have not won all season. Sunday might have been their best chance to get a win in 2024.

Given a dangerous game total of 43.5, the leaning at first was toward the over. Baltimore's defense ranks in the bottom third in terms of passing metrics but has improved slightly when it comes to runners. Drew Lock has shown some solid legs for New York. However, Baltimore and its dual attack of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry have shown the ability to wreck better defenses. Baltimore gains 5.7 yards a run which still leads the NFL.

Also, the fact that this game is in New Jersey is another reason not to trust the over here. The Giants make so many mental mistakes offensively. Add in the fact that Malik Nabers may be shut down and the Giants have no true deep threat. Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt have had nightmares of seasons.

Even with Baltimore potentially going over 30 points, we still side with the under on Sunday.

What Do We Keep An Eye On For Sunday?

Finally, the Ravens vs Giants bets ask what do we keep an eye on for Sunday?  Again, the biggest problem is trying to figure out how much more of a train wreck the Giants can be. This is historically bad as New York is off to a 2-11 start for the third time since 2017. Few, if any, are expecting them to get a third win on the season this Sunday. In terms of the red zone, Baltimore tops the league while New York is on the bottom. Defensively, both are around the middle of the middle of the pack.

Once more, the first drive outlook could show some potential. Baltimore may score a touchdown but watch that number. It is going to drop some as the week goes on. Again, if the weather gets milder come Sunday, that only helps the Baltimore Ravens.

Yes, that Baltimore touchdown expects to set the tone Sunday.
