The Gamecocks vs Eagles bets seek some answers for a challenging contest Now, South Carolina is 4-3 but has played some better opposition compared to 6-2 Boston College. Gamecocks vs Eagles Bets Take On Something Different

Gamecocks vs Eagles bets take on something different. So, how chaotic is this 2024 season so far? Like we mentioned once before, UConn lost three times in Hawaii and dropped 23 spots in the polls. Teams that seem very good are barely winning or losing to much worse teams. Arkansas and Miami are both unranked at this stage of the season. Again, the expected has become the unexpected. Neither South Carolina or Boston College have beaten anyone of quality.

So, what does one do here? The Eagles got blown out by VCU and did beat Temple. Then again, Temple is just not the same either. As for South Carolina, they are 4-3 on the young campaign. Among their losses was an ugly game in Indiana against the Hoosiers and a neutral-site defeat at the hands of Xavier. The Musketeers just got blown out by Michigan and first year coach Dusty May. Again, results have been all over the place.

Let us attempt to make heads or tails of this Tuesday night game. Can Boston College take care of business at home and win against what some believe to be a better South Carolina team?

Trying To Determine A Winner

Gamecocks vs Eagles bets know that trying to determine a winner is tough here. Again, both teams are unproven at best. Boston College losing to Dartmouth was a surprise and is troubling. South Carolina did play better versus Xavier and bounced back versus Virginia Tech. However, Virginia Tech is 3-4 and not expected to be a factor in the ACC this season. Although, Collin Murray-Boyles has some intrigue. The forward averages 15.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

Now, we mentioned Murray-Boyles because Boston College may not have an answer for him. One bit of good news is that they may not need to. Teams have shown the ability to press the forward into turnovers. He averages 3.1 turnovers a game. For a forward that does not handle the ball much and shoots only nine times a game, that is worrisome. Boston College can take advantage of the home crowd here and may need every bit of it.

Why? This is because Boston College does have swing guard Donald Hand. Hand averages over 14 points and nearly eight rebounds a night. Hand is streaky and shoots just 36.6% from the field. On the bright side, Hand, like Chad Venning both get to the foul line five times a game. Both players know how to draw fouls. That may make the difference on Tuesday night. Did we mention that Hand shoots 88.4% from the charity stripe?

Alas, this is one of those games that could go really south for the road team. However, Michigan does have some poise here and again they have the bigs to give Wisconsin plenty of fits. The key for Michigan will be avoiding foul trouble. If they can do that, Michigan could get win number seven on Tuesday night.

Gamecocks vs Eagles Bets Toy With The Pace

So, Gamecocks vs Eagles bets toy with the pace. The South Carolina Gamecocks and Boston College Eagles play at about the same level when it comes to offense and defense. This is not truly a matchup of contrasting style. Boston College plays right around 70 points and so does South Carolina for the most part. The Gamecocks and Hokies barely made 130 points last week. Boston College has been more comfortable in that range. They ran out of gas against Dartmouth and lost 88-83.

The feeling is that a few points more than expected could be scored here on Tuesday night. A lot of that has to do with the streaky shooting. Unfortunately, college basketball can be fickle in this regard. Boston College does shoot slightly better from three-point range (35 compared to 32 percent). South Carolina does attempt an average of 24.1 attempts from beyond the arc. Can they get hot and make enough shots?

Some updated numbers seem to be moving the game total down ever so slightly. This Tuesday night game opened at 138.5 and has slid down to 137.5. It does seen like a number to attack.

Give Me Some More

Lastly, Gamecocks vs Eagles bets give me some more? If one believe in the Eagles, taking them to score 68 points or more may not be a bad option. However, if one wants to climb the ladder, they can on Tuesday. The alternate team over of 69.5 points stands at +130.

Just think, those intimate "barns" produce some fun results. Look to Boston College to hit around 70.
