Knicks vs 76ers Betting Trends
New York is a 9.5-point home favorite at Madison Square Garden, where they are 20-10 this season with a 14-15-1 record against the spread. Despite dropping their last two games to Boston and Cleveland, Tom Thibodeau's club is still 6-4 in their past 10 games. The Knicks sit comfortably in 3rd-place in the East with a 37-20 overall record. They're 26-13 against conference opponents.
Philadelphia is 10-17 away from home, and a league-worst 4-11-1 ATS as road underdogs. Losers of eight in a row, the Sixers are just 14-23 versus teams in their own conference. Their 20-37 overall record is the sixth-worst in the entire NBA.
The over/under for Wednesday's game is set at 232.5 points. The OVER is 17-13 in Knicks home contests and 15-10-2 in Philadelphia road games.
Paul George: "We've shown no sign of a team that will compete. We just don't have the habits of a champion, or a playoff contending team, would have. To be honest, right now it's a little far-fetched. All we can do is work hard and try to just keep going." pic.twitter.com/UE6k1OaI9W

Philly hits rock bottom
Philadelphia is coming off a 32-point loss to the Bulls on Monday night. Nick Nurse's team has now dropped eight straight games and 10 of 11 overall.
Paul George signed a four-year, $212 million free-agent contract with the 76ers last summer. After the defeat to Chicago, he said, “We're showing no signs of a team that will compete. We just don't have the habits of a championship or a playoff-contending team would have."
After playing in just 19 of 57 games, Joel Embiid is on the verge of being shut down for the season following the completion of imaging on his troublesome left knee. The two-time NBA scoring champion has up to four years and $248.1 million remaining on his deal after this season. Yikes!
Knicks struggle against top teams
The Knicks are winless in seven opportunities versus the league's top three teams (Cavaliers, Celtics and Thunder) this season. Their matchup against the reeling 76ers at MSG on Wednesday night comes before a stretch where they'll play seven of their next eight games on the road.
Jalen Brunson is putting up 26.3 points, 6.9 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game since the beginning of February. Karl-Anthony Towns is enjoying a strong first season in the Big Apple, averaging 24.8 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists. However, the Knicks will need to improve their team defense to be a true contender.
Bill Simmons: “I think Jalen Brunson‘s become the preeminent flopper in the NBA… Harden’s getting a little older…Trae Young was there for a second…Brunson’s top of his game…the complete package. It’s some of the best flopping I’ve ever seen” pic.twitter.com/LWbSnwMtkF
