Denny Hamlin is in desperate need of a win to remain in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. Fortunately for him, there's no place he likes to race more than Bristol Motor Speedway.

Arriving to the exciting short track for the NASCAR Bass Pro Shops race, Hamlin finds himself six points below the cutoff line for advancement to the next round of playoff racing. However, he's also found himself driving down Victory Lane at the end of the last two NASCAR Cup Series events at Bristol.

Not surprsingly then, it's Hamlin who is the across the board favorite to be taking the checkered flag at all of the leading online sportsbooks.

NASCAR Bass Pro Shops Night Race Betting Picks

The drivers will cover 500 laps to complete the 266.5 miles of this race. The Bass Pro Shops Night Race is divided into three stages of 125, 125 and 250 laps.

Before we take a look at the top contenders and get into the analysis and predictions for this race, check out our how-to bet on NASCAR page.

Denny Hamlin (+450)

Hamlin lists the 0.533-mile oval at Bristol as his favorite track and with good reason. His two recent wins on this circuit are among three victories at Bristol during his career.

Hamlin has run among the top 10 in each of the last four Cup Series races at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Christopher Bell (+550)

Over the past four NASCAR Cup Series races at Bristol, only Hamlin (370) has led more laps around this famous short track than Bell (359).

During that span, Bell has finished twice in the top five and three times among the top 10. The consistent Bell has 10 top five performances and 16 top 10s. He's won three races this season and led 721 laps.

Kyle Larson (+550)

The driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports is another consistent presence around the Bristol oval. He has one win there and four top five finishes over the past four years.

In his last three Bass Pro Shops Night Race outings, Larson has finished second, fifth and first. He's wound up in the top 10 in six successive playoff races at Bristol.

Brad Keselowski (+900)

The leading online betting sites are all over the map when it comes to what they think the chances of Keselowski winning this race might be. You can get as short as +900 odds on him at Bovada, up to a long betting line of +2000 at BetUS.

The Ford driver does have a solid resume on this track. Keselowski won this race in 2011. He finished eighth in last year's race. During the spring race at Bristol, Keselowski ran third.

Ty Gibbs (+900)

His resume on this track isn't as rich as some of the other contenders, but don't sell Gibbs short. In his first Bass Pro Shops Night Race, he wound up fifth. Gibbs finished ninth this year in the Bristol spring race. He was 10th in last year's dirt race at Bristol.

All seven wins by Toyotas in the Bristol Night Race were achieved by Joe Gibbs Racing. So Gibbs also has that going for him. On the other hand, Gibbs is winless this season.

Best NASCAR Bristol Prop Bets

At BetUS, they are offering Bristol Night Race prop bets on drivers finishing among the top three, top five and top 10 placings in the race. You can also wager on which manufacturer will win the race between Ford, Chevrolet, or Toyota.

There are also props on the top finishing driver for each of the three manufacturers. Meanwhile, Bovada is offering a prop play on which drivers will survive through to the final four of the NASCAR playoffs.

Bell Best Bet In NASCAR Cup Series Futures

If you're looking ahead to who might be there on top at the end of the NASCAR playoffs in November, you can bet that as well. And currently, there are some new faces dominating the NASCAR Cup Series odds.

Bovada
+200

It's Bell who is the betting favorite to cop the cup at a betting line of +200. Larson (+450), Tyler Reddick (+550) and Hamlin (+650) round out the top four contenders in NASCAR futures. Of that group, only Larson is a past NASCAR Cup Series champion.

NASCAR Bass Pro Shops Night Race Pick

Larson (four) is the only driver in the NASCAR playoffs with more wins this season than the three fashioned by Bell. Hamlin also has three wins overall and two in a row at Bristol. It's easy to make a case for any of these three drivers winning the day in the Bass Pro Shops Night Race.

However, we're going to go with the steadiness of Bell to get the job done this week. It seems like a year in which there's a changing of the guard going on in the NASCAR playoffs. And it's Bell who is currently leading the field.

He's finished in the top four in three of the past four weeks. It's been 11 races since he won, so he's due. And did we mention that Bell drives a Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing?
