OSB Enea Bastianini That One Shot For MotoGP Glory

The 2024 MotoGP season keeps on evolving. Now, with another month gone by, there are fewer paths to the title. Yes, Francesco Bagnaia has now taken a 10 point lead in the standings after winning at Assen and Sachsenring. Again, Jorge Martin crashed out with two laps to go at Germany giving the Italian the points lead. What about some of the longer shot 2024 MotoGP Futures Bets? Those could be fun.

  • WHAT: 2024 MotoGP World Title Race - July Update
  • WHEN: From Now until late November
  • WHERE: From Silverstone in London, England to Spain

So, the latest races keep dwindling down the field. The question is what ways could the longer shots get back into the race. Does there exist a path or paths to climb into contention and potentially win the 2024 World Championship?  worth a try perhaps. Also, remember these betting site bonuses and promotions, with the break being here. Okay, cue up the MotoGP online betting odds:

2024 MotoGP Futures Bets - Tossing Around The Numbers

The 2024 MotoGP Futures Bets say let us start tossing around the numbers. While 22 races were expected to be run this 2024 season, it is apparent now that only 20 will be run. Argentina and India have been taken off the calendar. Also, do not be so sure about Kazakhstan. It appears there will be a race but do not be 100% assured of it until the event occurs. Basically, we are at a sort of halfway point of the season. The nine races hav been some ride.

Despite Francesco Bagnaia having six race wins, everything is far from decided. Realistically, this looks to be a two-man race. Marc Marquez carries some potential of making noise still too. However, there are three other drivers who have low probabilities but cannot be mathematically counted out. They are Enea Bastianini, Maverick Vinales, and Pedro Acosta. This is arguably more about numbers and trying to figure out if there is a way for these drivers to do the almost impossible.

Wagering on MotoGP gets so tricky with the second long break in a month. Having back-to-back races then another four-week layover is a bit odd. Also, MotoGP races occurring during the Summer Olympics still seems awkward too. Again, the current standings as after nine races reveals the following

  • Enea Bastianini - 155 points
  • Maverick Vinales - 125 points
  • Pedro Acosta - 110 points

So, with Bagnaia standing at 222 points and 37 points available per race, the opportunities are starting to get more limited. A few lobbied for Brad Binder (108 points) here but Acosta does carry more upside in the layout of races over the second half. Okay, let us begin.

Maverick Vinales May Have Lost The Best Path

Okay, Maverick Vinales may have lost the best path among the longer shots. of the equation. The Spaniard won early in the season at Texas. The 2024 MotoGP Futures Bets like that +10000 number on MyBookie. Could that number perhaps fan out err lengthen even more? The likely answer is yes.

Vinales moved up to fifth in the standings and now has 125 points. He is now 97 points behind Bagnaia for the lead. Spaniards still occupy four of the top six spots. The Bagnaia-Bastianini are now first and fourth. Vinales did fare well at Assen and totaled 18 points but only gained seven at Sachsenring. Now, Vinales has some potential on tracks like Silverstone. However, the concern is that Vinales has not placed in the Top 5 of the standings since 2019 (3rd).

Also, Vinales does not have as many tracks where he has performed well in the later stages of a season. Obviously, the rider cannot have one single DNF (has none currently). The three results of tenth or worse in his last four races of 2023 means points will need to be piled up now and not later. Vinales would need to win at Silverstone potentially and Indonesia at a minimum. Austria and perhaps Aragon would be areas for Vinales to concentrate on.

The hope is that Vinales can catch up quickly. Vinales' only chance lies in what comes after the break. When it comes down to the final four events, Vinales would need to be right near or at the top to triumph here.

2024 MotoGP Futures Bets And The Other Italian

2024 MotoGP Futures Bets and the other Italian seem to ring somewhat true. Unlike rookie Pedro Acosta, Enea Bastianini has a need for speed that does lead to win at the top MotoGP level. Also, there is some father that Bastianini can make a comeback in the standings. Acosta is now 112 points off the lead. The Italian is only 67 off the pace. Predictably, Acosta is +20000 to +30000 while Bastianini rolls in the +4500 to +5000 range.

Bastianini has a run in him at this level. See what happened two years ago when the Italian finished third in the standings. He won at Aragon which is on the schedule this September. Also, San Marino has been a track he has nearly won at twice recently Furthermore, there is Malaysia where the Italian has a win and two more podiums to boot. These are places where Bastianini must rack up Sprint and Race points.

Honestly, the path for Bastianini is still daunting. He needs at least 3-4 wins and potentially a good deal of help with DNF's from Bagnaia and Martin. The 26-year-old is one of the few riders who can run with the momentum.
