The Red Sox, currently holding the third spot in the AL East, have been on a winning streak, triumphing in five of their last seven games.

However, they did face a setback, losing two of three to the Brewers.

The Orioles, on the other hand, are sitting comfortably in the second spot. They bounced back from a Cardinals sweep with a four-game road series sweep against the White Sox.

As the series kicks off on Monday, keep an eye on Cooper Criswell (2-1, 2.86 ERA, 1.13 WHIP) pitching for the Red Sox and Cole Irvin (4-2, 3.15 ERA, 1.09 WHIP) on the mound for the Orioles.

The Orioles were able to take the first game in this series, 11-3.

The Red Sox rank 13th in MLB for runs scored, 12th in batting average, 14th in on-base percentage, and 9th in slugging percentage.

Rafael Devers is a key contributor, hitting .272 with a .370 on-base percentage, 11 doubles, 10 home runs, and 24 RBIs.

Ceddanne Rafela leads the team in RBIs despite a .208 batting average and .234 on-base percentage, with nine doubles, two triples, and five home runs for 28 RBIs.

Tyler O'Neill and Jarren Duran also provide significant offensive contributions, with O'Neill hitting 11 home runs and Duran boasting 22 stolen bases.

Total Runs

Under 8.5-105-105-105

The Red Sox's pitching staff is second in team ERA, fifth in WHIP, and eighth in opponent batting average. Brayan Bello (5-2, 4.04 ERA, 1.16 WHIP) will start, though he has struggled recently, allowing 10 runs in his last three starts.

Orioles hitters have a career .220 average against Bello.

The Orioles rank seventh in runs scored, 15th in batting average, 24th in on-base percentage, and second in slugging percentage.

Gunnar Henderson has been impressive, hitting .264 with a .361 on-base percentage, 17 home runs, 37 RBIs, and seven stolen bases.

Jordan Westburg and Adley Rutschman are also key players, with Westburg hitting .284 and Rutschman batting .300. Anthony Santander, despite a .201 average, has provided power with nine home runs.

The Orioles' pitching staff ranks fifth in team ERA, third in WHIP, and second in opponent batting average. Grayson Rodriguez (5-1, 3.20 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) will start, allowing just two runs over his last 16.2 innings.

This series presents a formidable challenge for the Red Sox, with the Orioles boasting a stronger overall pitching staff and a potent offense.

The Red Sox will need to bring their A-game with exceptional pitching and timely hitting to stay competitive.

However, the Orioles' recent form and Rodriguez's improvement make them the favorites. It's a tough call, but expect Baltimore to take the opener.

As far as the total is concerned with the way these offenses are hitting right now, the Over is the safe bet. The Orioles lineup is so dangerous right now, they may cover the total by themselves!
