The AL has named Corbin Burnes as their starting pitcher. Burnes, who has a 2.43 ERA over 19 starts in his first season with the Orioles after six seasons with the Brewers, will take the mound.
The 2021 NL Cy Young Award winner has been remarkably consistent since becoming a full-time starter.
He's struck out over 200 batters every season. At the All-Star break this year, he has accumulated 110 strikeouts over 118 2/3 innings.
The National League boasts a lineup of explosive hitters ready to make an impact in the 2024 All-Star Game.
Leading the charge is Shohei Ohtani, one of the game's premier sluggers, who will be representing the NL for the first time.
Starting as the catcher, William Contreras currently leads the Milwaukee Brewers in hits and will also play a pivotal role.
Bryce Harper, with 21 home runs this season, will be aiming to launch a few more into the right-field seats.
His teammate, Trea Turner, is set to make another All-Star appearance and contribute significantly.
Additionally, Christian Yelich makes his return to the All-Star Game for the first time since 2019.
Fernando Tatis Jr. will miss the game due to injury despite being voted as a starter. However, his teammate Jurickson Profar will make his first All-Star Game appearance.
Key reserves to watch include Pete Alonso, Marcell Ozuna, Teoscar Hernandez, and Freddie Freeman, who will look to inflict damage in the middle innings.
