Scottie Scheffler (+650)
Scheffler, who is right on Rahm's heels in the FedExCup standings, only has two wins this season. However, he could very well be the most consistent golfer on the tour at the moment. While Scheffler finished tied for 23rd at The Open Championship, he was third or better in six straight events prior to that. The American landed second at the PGA Championship and third at the US Open. Yes, Scheffler didn't even make the cut in this tournament a year ago, but you cannot ignore his recent success. He's a deserving favorite down in Tennessee.
Jon Rahm (+950)
Rahm continues to take the golf world by storm. The Spaniard has four wins this season and that includes a Green Jacket at the iconic Augusta. He's also notched 10 top-10 finishes this year. 2023 is by far his most successful year to date and proves that Rahm is truly breaking out. He is also coming off a very impressive showing at The Open, finishing in second spot, and was also 10th at the US Open. Rahm has proven that he can turn up at any given moment when the stakes are highest. That's why he's considered a legitimate contender in round one of the playoffs this week.
Rory Mcilroy (+1000)
McIlroy has had little success at TPC Southwind, finishing in the top five just once in six appearances on this course. He also missed the cut in 2022 even though it was a much larger field. However, recent form suggests McIlroy could turn around his fortunes in Memphis. The Northern Irishman won the Genesis Scottish Open last month and hasn't finished worst than seventh in seven straight events. He finished tied for sixth at The Open Championship, too. The confidence is high for McIlroy and that's scary for his opponents. He's also third in the FedExCup standings heading into the playoffs.
Patrick Cantlay (+1600)
Cantlay is just 13th in the standings but he's got respectable odds to win in Tennessee which is a little bit hard to understand considering he was tied for 57th in 22'. He's yet to win a tournament this year but does have eight top-10 finishes. Cantlay missed the cut at Scottish Open and was tied for 33rd at The Open Championship. He's finished within the top-10 just twice in his last seven tries.
Xander Schauffele (+1700)
Schauffele hasn't notched a victory in 23', which is a bit disappointing considering he won three last year. The recent results aren't exactly a reason for optimism, either. He hasn't finished above 10th since May and that 10th-place finish came at the US Open. The 2022 edition of this event? Schauffele was 57th. He's probably one to fade here.
Viktor Hovland (+2200)
Hovland is seventh in the standings and has done well at times. His only win came at the Memorial Tournament. But, since then, the Norwegian hasn't finished above 13th and that was at The Open Championship. As for this event, he was 20th a year ago.
Collin Morikawa (+2200)
This season could be considered a bit underwhelming for Morikawa. He's 22nd ahead of the playoffs and that's with three podium finishes. But, he missed the cut at the Travelers Championship and The Open Championship, which means he comes into this tournament in rather dismal form.
FedEx St. Judge Championship Picks
It's very tough to predict who could win any event on the PGA Tour so when it comes to betting, it's best to put some money down on a few different golfers. Scheffler is putting together a historic campaign and simply has to be in the mix here. He's the first one. Next, McIlroy's recent play is a reason to splash some cash on him. And last, we'll also throw Rahm in there.
