PGA Championship picks

The PGA Championship is an event that tons of golf bettors put money down every year and it won't be any different in 2023. Last season, Justin Thomas prevailed after beating Will Zalatoris in a three-hole playoff and by no surprise, Thomas is one of the names at the top of the odds board again. The Championship will take place from May 15th to 21st at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, with Rory McIlroy (+900) and Jon Rahm (+900) currently frontrunners to win the prestigious tournament, while Thomas (+1200) and Collin Morikawa (+1600) aren't far behind at BetUS. Keep reading for the PGA Championship futures.

Jon Rahm (+900)

Rahm might've struggled in last year's PGA Championship, but he's red hot this season. Rahm has already won two tournaments in the current campaign and he's almost always in the mix in each and every event. He's already raked in a PGA-best $4.8 million in earnings and ranks third in the world right now. Rahm came first in the American Express in late January and finished third in the Phoenix Open last weekend. This could very well be Rahm's year to win a Championship.

Rory McIlroy (+900)

McIlroy is one of the best golfers around and it's been like that for years now. He's one of the few superstars in the sport who didn't ditch the PGA for LIV Golf and remains committed to competing on the Tour. The two-time PGA winner hasn't actually come first in the biggest event in nine years, but he can never be overlooked. After all, the Irishman is ranked first overall in the world rankings for a reason.

Justin Thomas (+1200)

Thomas pulled off the unthinkable last year, which is why he's right in the mix in the PGA Championship futures. The American was trailing by seven shots in the final round before storming back and beating Zalatoris in a playoff to collect his second major title. He's got two top-five finishes in the last four tournaments and has all the talent to be in the mix at Oak Hill. Plus, Thomas is a seasoned veteran at this point.

Collin Morikawa (+1600)

The 2020 winner, Morikawa only turned pro in 2019 and has both a PGA Championship and British Open title to his name. He also finished fifth in the 2022 Masters. The Los Angeles native is currently ranked seventh in the PGA, finishing second in the Tournament of Champions and third in the Farmers Insurance Open. However, he finished 55th in last year's PGA Championship.

Jordan Speith (+2000)

Speith comes in as +2000 odds for the Championship and has won 10 titles in his career since turning professional in 2012. The Dallas, Texas native isn't playing the best golf in 2022-23 though, failing to win a single event thus far. In fact, his first top-10 finish came last weekend in Phoenix when he secured sixth spot. To be frank, he's just not in good enough form to actually consider for the PGA Championship, even though the tournament is still a few months away. Perhaps something can change.

PGA Championship Picks

There's obviously a lot of time until the best of the best head to Rochester, but as of right now, I'd put my money down on Jon Rahm. The Spaniard is confident as can be this season and looks like a serious contender to take home the ultimate prize. That +900 looks good for the PGA Championship futures.
