But let's first go through the field of contenders and see who provides the best gambling value. As always, this is meant to be a list of several golfers who provide the right mix of potential to win and actual betting return.
Webb Simpson (+1200)
Along with the top-ranked golfer in the world, Dustin Johnson, Webb Simpson is your RBC Heritage Open betting favorite. Many prefer to steer clear of outright favorites. We don't blame them.
Relative to other sports, outright favorites don't have an especially high winning percentage in golf. Still, in this case, Simpson is laying 12-to-1 odds. More than that, his history at the RBC Heritage Open is highly encouraging
Through 11 starts in the tournament, he has bagged a whopping seven top-25 finishes. Over the past four years specifically, he's never ended lower than 16th place. That's a huge deal here. Patrick Cantlay (+2500)
Anyone suffering from recency bias won't be feeling the love here. Patrick Cantlay has proven to be an inconsistent option this season and doesn't wield the big-play potential of others on this list.
You'll feel a lot better when looking at his last three finishes at the RBC Heritage Open, though: third, seventh, and third.

Corey Conners (+3000)
Corey Conners opened 2021 playing fantastic golf and hasn't yet stopped.
Other players are going to drive the ball longer distances, but he's a whiz at finding the fairway and then reaching the green in regulation. His accuracy comes in handy on shorter Par 4s and even the toughest Par 5s. He's currently second on the tour in holes played per eagle converted and 31st overall in birdies per 18 holes.
If that's not proof enough for you, just look at the leaderboard. His eighth-place tie at The Masters was his second top-10 finish of the season.
Brian Harman (+3000)
Riding what appears to be a hot streak from Brian Harman is pretty risky. He's coming off a 12th place finish at The Masters, but it's been statistically proven that success at the previous tournament doesn't foretell another home run in South Carolina.
And yet, we just can't resist.
Harbour Town is rife with traps that can catch certain players off guard. Harman is an exception. His 65.42 percent driving accuracy is a top-65 mark on the tour, and he's proven to be among the most reliable performers of the past year, averaging just over 70 strokes per 64 holes.
Adam Hadwin (+11000)
While Adam Hadwin didn't make the aforementioned odds cut above, since we left off anyone laying worse than +5000, we simply cannot resist him as a dark horseplay.
Initially one of Canada's finest golfers, he has seen himself slip in the rankings over the past couple of years, falling a fair distance behind not only the top players but many of his fellow countrymen. Lately, though, it seems Hadwin is on the come-up.
In his last three starts, the 33-year-old has bagged top-30 finishes of 23rd, eighth and 29th. That's some serious consistency. And coupled with his knack for keeping the ball in play and avoiding bunkers, he's just the type of sleeper worth investing in at the RBC Heritage Open.
RBC Heritage Prediction
This is unusual for us, but we're going with the super-duper long shot: Adam Hadwin.
We just can't shake his recent success, and his conservative playstyle should serve him well on this course.
By no means are we saying this is a lock. It's not. He barely ranks in the top 200 of greens reached on par strokes. But with so many tournaments already in the books, now is the time to start looking at rock-solid drivers and putters who can weather the jam-packed schedule.
Given what we've seen from Hadwin over his last three outings, we believe that's him.
