But we find ourselves drawn to the projected runner-up, which is also from Disney: Luca (+600). Awards voters are often pulled toward coming-of-age stories in the animated film section, so for us, it makes sense to roll the dice here.

To be honest, we're surprised "No Time to Die" (-200) from the latest James Bond movie isn't a heavier favorite. Maybe oddsmakers are hedging their bets against Encanto losing the feature-film award, so they've given priority to "Dos Orugitas" (+175) from the movie.
At any rate, "No Time to Die" has been billed as an iconic original song from a well-reviewed film that also acted as the final installment of the Daniel Craig era. We'll take it running away.

Anyone who watched Cruella (-425) understands the detail and creativity and overall uniqueness that went into the outfits. Many of the most entrancing ones were worn by Cruella herself, played by Emma Stone, but the getups for the entire supporting cast were equally memorable.

Far be it from us to pick another upset, but we can't believe the makeup and hairstyling from Cruella (+600) isn't inciting more favorable consideration here.
Some of the aesthetic decisions verged on outrageous, but that's sort of the point. The out-thereness factor matters in this category. And if we're being blunt, the makeup and hairstyling in Cruella outstripped that of both The Eyes of Tammy Faye (-200) and Dune (+400).
