The 2025 Grammys are fast approaching. Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter are both eligible for Best New Artist at the 2025 edition, and this is a headline showdown. In the latest entertainment futures, the bookmakers have it as a close contest between the talented two. But as you're about to discover, there are plenty more top-quality artists to choose from.

The 2025 Grammy Awards ceremony is on February 2nd. It will be the 67th edition and is being held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The 2025 ceremony will honor the best recordings, compositions, and artists from September 16th, 2023 to August 30, 2024.
When the nominations were announced in early November a stellar lineup was unveiled in the Best New Artist category. Not only were the names of Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter included, but also Shaboozey, Raye, and Khruangbin.
Last yearâs winner was Victoria MonĂ©t. Recent winners of this award are Samara Joy, Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Thee Stallion, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa.
Best New Artist award winner betting
Chappell Roan has had an outstanding amount of success over the past year and is the odds-on favorite to be given the Best New Artist award at the Grammys. Roan is just -200.
Her closest rival is Sabrina Carpenter at +200. But donât think it is just between those two.
American singer-songwriter Shaboozey (+400) has had great success. He is up for five awards in total, with his smash hit A Bar Song (Tipsy) accounting for three.
Also in the running is English singer-songwriter Raye (+900), who also canât be underestimated. Rayeâs debut album My 21st Century Blues was released in 2023 and won a staggering six Brit Awards. She is no stranger to making acceptance speeches.

The betting favorite: Chappell Roan -200
Chappell Roan has been nominated in six categories at the 2025 Grammys.
As well as the Best New Artist, Roan has also seen her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. The smash hit single off the album, Good Luck, Babe! is in the running for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Roan has already bagged the Best New Artist award at the prestigious MTV Video Music Awards in September.

Fellow Grammy nominees Benson Boone, Shaboozey, and Teddy Swims were also among the nominations for that award.
Sabrina Carpenter +200
In any other year surely Sabrina Carpenter would be a shoo-in to win this award.
The 25-year-old is having a similar hot streak to Chappell Roan with her sixth studio album Short nâ Sweet, and her chart-topping hit Espresso.
Carpenter is also up for six awards at the 2025 Grammys. As well as qualifying for the Best New Artist, Carpenterâs Short nâ Sweet is up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
Espresso is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. It has already won the MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Year.
Best bets
Itâs fair to say this award has been dominated by female artists in recent years. The seven most recent winners have all been women, and you have to go back to 2017 to find a male winner when Chance the Rapper took the award.
If we follow the betting, the trend of female winners is likely to continue at the 2025 ceremony.
Shaboozey is the third favorite and a live candidate, but when you look at his competition, itâs easy to see why females dominate the betting with the likes of Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, and Raye.
Sabrina Carpenter and Raye have won plenty of awards in recent months. It would be no surprise to see them win this award or other Grammys.
Chappell Roan is the same. She will no doubt bag numerous awards at the ceremony. The question is did we get a major steer when Roan won the MTV Best New Artist award?
Only Olivia Rodrigo has bagged both in recent years, but did she have a half-as-successful time as Chappell Roan is currently having?
Chappell Roan may well be the obvious call. But history is telling us to think outside the box. Her odds are also very short, which is also making a small wager on another nominee look more worthwhile.
Sabrina Carpenter would have to be the pick if not Roan. And with a man not having won the event since 2017, it may be worth a small wager on Shaboozey as well.
