Betting to win the US Darts Masters
It's Gerwyn Price again who is leading the way with the best online darts betting sites. But heās only just ahead of MVG in the betting to win the US Darts Masters. The bookmakers have Gerwyn Price at +300, and Michael van Gerwen at +325.
Behind Price and MVG is world champion Michael Smith at +400, with Rob Cross at +750, and Peter Wright at +1000. The shortest price of the North American contingent is Matt Campbell at +5000.

Price or MVG?
In the recent Premier League Darts final, Michael van Gerwen produced a masterclass, and it has to be said, showed Gerwyn Price who the boss really was. MVG was imperious, when he plays like that, itās hard to see anybody beating him.
Betting on van Gerwen to win these days seems to be a bit of a lottery though. If the version that just hammered Price 11-5 to win a record seventh Premier League Darts title turns up, no one can beat him. But the problem is knowing when that version of MVG is going to turn up. No one knows, not even MVG himself.

Compare that to betting on Gerwyn Price, and although heās not winning every event, heās getting to the latter stages of just about every tournament he enters these days. Meaning you know you always have a puncherās chance of him winning some of them.
Price reached five of the last six finals in the weekly Premier League Darts roadshow. But tellingly, he only won one of those six. But across the season, he won four Nights, more than any other player apart from Michael Smith (also has four). In total, Price reached the final in nine of the 14 nights, and also the final in the playoffs. That is remarkable consistency.
Is Rob Cross a real threat?
Such is the standard of darts in the PDC these days, world champion Michael Smith is hardly getting a mention. Smith is the third favorite at +400, but does the real threat in the lineup come from the 2018 PDC World Champion, Rob Cross?
Cross has had a quiet time lately and wasnāt even selected to take part in the 2023 Premier League. But he did secure a first ever win on the European Tour last weekend, when he defeated Luke Humpries 8-6 to win the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen.

Cross had lost his previous seven European Tour finals, so to secure his maiden win will give him a massive confidence boost heading to the States. And this is why he is fourth favorite with the bookies at +750.
The North American Contingent
Itās hard to see any of the eight North American players winning the competition. Securing any upset in the last 16, and claiming the name of a PDC scalp is probably the best anyone can hope to achieve.
And the players who look best equipped to do that are Matt Campbell, Jeff Smith and Jules van Dongen. All three are PDC Tour Card holders, and a place on that tour doesnāt come easy. Campbell has the highest world ranking of the three at 60. Jeff Smith is next at 68. Heading in the wrong direction is van Dongen, who is down at 97.
None of the trio have gone deep in any recent PDC events, with an appearance in the last 64 at the 2023 UK Open from Matt Campbell as good as it has gotten lately. Back in 2020, Smith did make it to the last 16 of the World Series of Darts. But since then he hasnāt threatened on the PDC circuit.
Our Picks to win
As we alluded to above, youāve always got a chance with Gerwyn Price. He will be keen to put things right after his defeat on Premier League finals night, and his consistency in making finals is currently unmatched. We always have a chance with Price.
Weāre also going to have a little side bet on Rob Cross to win. Not only did he achieve his first win on the European Tour last week, but the victory also secured his place - representing England - at the upcoming Darts World Cup. Cross will be on a high, and that makes him worth a small side bet.
