In the end, the Australians did their old rivals a favor by turning the match around and defeating Scotland. The result saw England go through to the Super Eights, and Scotland eliminated from the competition.

On the flip side, England’s strength is their batting. And the wicket at Gros Islet is expected to favor the batters. But with the West Indies having racked up 218 runs on this pitch in their most recent Group C match against Afghanistan, the co-hosts will also believe this is a wicket that suits their batters.
