The Volunteers closed out the season by catching up to Kentucky and claiming a share of the regular-season conference title. Due to a head-to-head tiebreaker, Tennessee secured the top seed in the SEC Tournament and holds the nationās No. 5 RPI.
In the SEC Tournament, Tennessee will encounter a familiar opponent, having played both Florida and Vanderbilt recently. Tony Vitelloās squad won two of three games against Florida in Gainesville, concluding the series finale early via the run rule. Additionally, they took two games in Nashville before dropping the final game against Vanderbilt.
Texas A&M (+600)
The Aggies boast the nationās No. 1 RPI and hold the No. 4 seed in the SEC Tournament. The conference is particularly competitive in 2024. Texas A&M is set to face the winner of the Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State matchup.
Mississippi State was the first SEC team to visit College Station this year, with Texas A&M securing its first conference series win by taking the rubber game. Earlier this month, Ole Miss won the first two games against the Aggies in Oxford. As the Rebels head to Hoover, they need to secure the tournament championās automatic bid to qualify for the NCAA Tournament.
Arkansas (+760)
The Razorbacks secured the No. 2 seed in the SEC Tournament after winning the SEC West and boast the nationās No. 2 RPI.
Arkansas will face the winner of the Alabama-South Carolina game. In April, the Razorbacks struggled on the road against Alabama, winning the series opener but losing the next two games, resulting in a 2-1 series loss. However, they bounced back the following weekend by winning the first and third games against South Carolina, securing a series victory.
Kentucky (+1200)
The Wildcats hold the No. 3 seed in the SEC Tournament, yet they are projected to be the No. 1 overall seed for the NCAA Tournament. However, oddsmakers donāt consider Kentucky the favorite to win the SEC tournament championship.
Kentucky will play against the winner of the Georgia-LSU game. The Wildcats swept Georgia early in the season to kick off conference play, including a run-rule victory in the series finale. The Bat Cats did not face LSU during the regular season.
