The top-quality boxing action keeps coming with Bakhram Murtaza taking on Tim Tszyu for the IBF super-welterweight title this Saturday.

Okay, this fight might not have the gravitas of last weekend’s Riyadh Season card, but Tim Tszyu is a huge name in Australia.

If you think the name Tszyu sounds familiar, you are right. This is because Tim is the son of the former light-welterweight world champion Kostya Tszyu.

The Tszyu family is box office. Tim is outspoken. He is a master of the art of selling his fights. And he loves to put on a show inside the ring as well.

After the Murtaza fight, Tszyu has stated it's his intention to relocate to the USA.

Americans will love him. And before welcoming him into the country, the US public has a chance to see him in action in Orlando, where he faces unbeaten Russian, Bakhram Murtaza.

Murtaza is the IBF super-welterweight champion. He won the championship by defeating Germany’s Jack Culcay for the vacant title in April. This will be his first defense of the title. And if the bookmakers are to be believed, it will be his only one.

Bakhram Murtaza vs. Tim Tszyu; Fight Betting Odds

The bookmakers are on the side of the challenger in this contest.

In the total rounds betting, the odds are -105 for the fight to go over 10.5 rounds and -125 to be finished in under 10.5 rounds.

Onto the props betting and Tim Tszyu also dominates this market.

Bakhram Murtaza seeking a career-defining win

Defending champion Bakhram Murtaza is unbeaten in professional boxing.

The 31-year-old Russian has a fight record of 22-0. He has won 16 of his fights by KO with six going to the judges’ scorecards.

In his more recent bout, he defeated Jack Culcay to win the vacant title. But despite holding a world title, Murtaza still doesn’t have that career-defining victory. The win that catapults him into the big time.

A win over Tim Tszyu would provide just that. But the problem is, until he makes that step up in class, we just don’t know how he is going to get on.

Tim Tszyu determined to be world champ again at the first time of asking

Tim Tszyu is a 29-year-old from Australia who has a professional boxing record of 24-1.

Tszyu is a bit of a throwback, a complete brawler who likes nothing more than to stand in the middle of the ring and trade blows. Out of his 24 wins, 17 have come by KO, with seven decided on the scorecards.

Tszyu is also a former world champion. His only defeat came in his last fight where he lost the WBO light middleweight title to Sebastian Fundora.

Anybody who saw the fight knows that Tszyu was extremely unlucky. The Aussie suffered an accidental cut to his head in just the 2nd Round. The gash sustained by Tsyzu must have influenced his fight tactics and probably played a role in his split decision defeat.

Not one to be deterred, Tszyu wants a world title back in his possession. And he really fancies his chances of leaving the ring on Saturday night with what is currently Bakhram Murtaza’s IBF title.

Bakhram Murtaza vs. Tim Tszyu Betting Picks and Predictions

Tim Tszyu likes to talk. This is a fact not lost on Bakhram Murtaza, who has taken a back seat and allowed his opponent to dominate the narrative in the build-up to the fight.

According to Tszyu, Murtaza isn’t in his class. Murtaza says he will let his fighting do his talking.

Who do we believe? Well, the fighters' respective resumes say that Tszyu is the one who is the most likely to leave the ring on Saturday with the belt.

We agree with that take, but with odds of -650 looking very short, we are looking for alternative bets.
Murtaza has already indicated that he will stand and trade. We already know that this is how Tszyu will fight.

If you think Murtaza has a chance, then back under 10.5 rounds. That covers both fighters winning by a KO before the fight enters the championship rounds.

But for our betting pick, we are going for Tim Tszyu to win by KO/TKO/DQ at -138.
