Fight Preview
Ramirez might have only four years of professional boxing under his belt, but he is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and full of confidence. After losing his first-ever pro fight back in 2019, the Cuban has now captured 11 victories in a row. He's even beaten other impressive opponents in the weight class including Eric Donovan and Abraham Nova. In fact, he's won all three of his last bouts via knockout. In October, Ramirez put Jose Matias Romero on the canvas in the ninth round in New York City.
He's a very gritty boxer who likes to go for the KO, as reflected by his recent results. Although Dogboe is a very difficult opposition, Ramirez's track record against similar fighters bodes well for the potential outcome on Saturday. After all, there's a reason he's a clear-cut favorite.
Dogboe owns a 24-2 record in his career with 16 knockouts. The British-Ghanian has fought both in the super-bantamweight and featherweight divisions and has the chance Saturday to capture a title he's yet to win in his career. Dogboe comes in unbeaten in his last four matches, last losing to Emmanuel Navarrete in 2019. In fact, his only two defeats have come against Navarette, who just moved up a division.
While Dogboe is a notable underdog here, he won't make it easy on Ramirez. The 28-year-old is typically one to go deep into bouts. For example, both of his losses to Navarrete went the full 12 rounds. If Ramirez is going to live up to the hype this weekend, it could very well go the distance. Sure, Dogboe isn't the most powerful featherweight around and might not have the left hook of the Cuban, but he's technically sound and does a lot of things right in the ring.
Robeisy Ramirez vs Isaac Dogboe Picks
I do think Ramirez gets it done. However, the moneyline offers absolutely no bang for your buck. Also, Dogboe has only been knocked out once in his career. That's why we're looking at Ramirez to win by decision at +120 odds at BetUS. Lastly, take the over 10.5 rounds at -150 odds. Dogboe is a warrior and he'll push his opponent to the brink. Expect a war in Tulsa between these two.
