Fight Preview

Taylor has been an absolute powerhouse in the boxing world. At 36 years old, she's a perfect 22-0 and as you can see, holds every belt imaginable at the moment. She is considered one of the best female boxers to ever step foot in the ring and it's clear why.

The Ireland native is extremely technical, possessing top-notch footwork and a high boxing IQ. While she has the ability to use her jab very effectively, Taylor is also a great defender. She last fought in October of 2022 at the SSE Arena in London, beating Karen Carabajal via unanimous decision. In the process, Taylor retained all of her belts. Although Cameron has a notable size advantage in this match, Taylor is the smarter fighter. That should play a key part in the ultimate outcome. Plus, she's got the home crowd behind her. That certainly helps.

Cameron is a native of Northampton, England, and has a 17-0 record to this point. She's five years younger than Taylor at 31. Cameron relies mostly on her power in the ring, having knocked out eight opponents in her career. She packs quite the punch, but Taylor is capable of handling it.

The Brit fought in November of 2022 over in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi, going 10 rounds with American Jessica McCaskill before beating her via unanimous decision as well. Cameron took ahold of the WBA, WBO, and IBF light-welterweight titles as well.

To be honest, Cameron is the next-best opponent for Taylor to face after the Serrano bout fell through. She is a very good fighter who can hold her own with the best of the best. That's why next Saturday's fight could be one for the ages. Clearly, the sportsbooks think the same because the odds aren't all that lopsided.

Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron Picks

I really do expect this to be a very entertaining fight. But, I do believe Taylor holds the advantage. She's more experienced and her technicality should come in handy against a boxer like Cameron who likes to turn to her strength. Take the moneyline.
