  • What: Amanda Serrano vs Danila Ramos
  • When: Friday, October 27th
  • Where: Caribe Royal Resort, Orlando, Florida

Amanda Serrano will be defending her three featherweight championship belts on Friday evening against mandatory challenger Danila Ramos at the Caribe Royal Resort in Orlando, Florida. This fight will mark history for women's boxing as well. It's the first time two women will battle it out for 12 three-minute rounds, just like men. If Serrano does defend the IBF, WBA, and WBO featherweight titles, she'll likely face undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor, who beat Serrano back in 2022. Serrano vs Ramos Odds

Amanda Serrano-4000-3300-2500
Danila Ramos+1400+1200+900

By no surprise, Serrano is a massive favorite to win Friday with moneyline odds of -4000. Ramos, who isn't all that established in boxing yet, comes back at +1400. The total in rounds is set at 10.5.

Serrano Has Much More Experience

Serrano has been around the sport for a hot minute. She made her pro debut way back in 2009 and compiled an impressive 45-2-1 record since, including 30 knockouts. She's had the featherweight titles since 2021 and did have the opportunity to snatch Taylor's lightweight belts at Madison Square Garden in April of 2022 and become a two-division champion, but the Irish fighter beat her via split decision.

But, since then, Serrano has looked dominant, defeating Sarah Mahfoud, Erika Cruz, and Heather Hardy all by unanimous decision in the 10th round. Although Serrano is no spring chicken anymore, she's still one of the most powerful punchers in women's boxing and should honestly have no issues taking care of Ramos. Serrano has a versatile skill set and can hurt her opponents in a plethora of ways. She's at a level that Ramos has never faced. From body shots to jabs, Serrano is extremely crafty.

With her best days perhaps behind her, Serrano will strictly be focused on getting past this bout and setting up a rematch with Taylor, aka the head of the snake and her biggest rival in women's boxing. Everyone wants to see these two get in the ring together again and it'll probably be Serrano's last chance to do so with one of the best around. It's unknown when that bout may be, but revenge will surely be on Serrano's mind. First, Serrano just needs to take care of Ramos, though.

Who is Danila Ramos?

There are only a couple of household names in women's boxing like Serrano and Katie Taylor. But, Ramos is slowly making her presence felt in the sport after finding some success in Brazil. The Argentine has limited fights under her belt with a 12-2 record, but she did just defeat Brenda Carbajal a couple of months ago which set up this bout with Serrano, one of the best around.

Ramos was born in Buenos Aires but now resides in Sau Paulo. She's also been a professional for just six years and has lost her two previous title fights up until this point. On a more positive note, Ramos is one inch taller than Serrano and has a five-inch reach advantage. Whether that can help her give Serrano a run for her money remains to be seen. A knockout is certainly not in the cards. Ramos will definitely be looking to wear down Serrano but that's much easier said than done.

The reality is this fight is out of her league right now, hence the very steep odds. I mean, she's basically only fought in South America. Serrano is a combat sports superstar who will head into Friday with massive confidence because, to be frank, Ramos shouldn't even touch her. This one could be done very quickly.

Amanda Serrano vs Danila Ramos Picks

Pretty obvious what the pick is going to be. But, the moneyline really offers no value at -4000. Instead, we'll look at a more specific bet. What stands out to me is Serrano winning by decision at +105 odds. Could she knock out Ramos? Absolutely. But, she's won her last six bouts via decision. It feels like a relatively safe bet here. Lock it in.
