Royal Ascot Races to Watch
Later in the Royal Ascot meeting are the Norfolk Stakes (G2) for two-year-olds and the Diamond Jubilee (G1) for top sprinters. Occasionally the winner of the Kingās Stand on Tuesday returns for the Diamond Jubilee on Saturday. This double has only been completed by two horses, Blue Point in 2019 and Choisir in 2003. Before Queen Elizabeth IIās Diamond Jubilee celebration in 2012, the race was known as the Golden Jubilee.
As the anticipation builds for the races at Royal Ascot 2025, there are several strong contenders to keep an eye on. Kingās Stand is the standout race of Day 1, with the likes of Coolangatta from Australia and local star Highfield Princess set to clash. Chindit could be a value pick in the opener and Army Ethos as a formidable contender. In the later races, Coolangatta is favored to shine in the sprinting contest, Paddington brings speed and promise to the St Jamesās Palace Stakes, Calling the Wind is a notable selection for Richard Hughes, and Buckaroo is backed to excel under jockey Oisin Murphy. Lastly, Vauban, trained by Willie Mullins and ridden by Ryan Moore, stands out as a top choice for the 1m 6f Flat race.
