Capitals suffer Injury loss as key player Vanecek looks to be out
2021/05/17
The first hurdle of the postseason for the Capitals comes in the form of an injury for starting goaltender Vitek Vanecek, who has produced a 2.69 GAA and .908% SV this season. He was replaced by Craig Anderson, who came on and put up a decent performance making 21 saves against a lively Bruins side.
The Washington Capitals started their postseason off on the right foot with a 3-2 over the Boston Bruins. While the Bruins have struggled this season, they certainly have enough talent and experience on the roster to come out on top in this season in this series.
The NHL is reaching its most entertaining stage, as the NHL Playoffs provide many teams with the opportunity to cause upsets against the stronger performing sides from the regular season. We’ve already witnessed the Minnesota Wild grab a 1-0 win in the series against Stanley Cup favorites Vegas.
