RB Leipzig vs Dortmund Prediction: Who do Bookmakers Favor?

RB Leipzig maintain a slight advantage in the eyes of bookmakers, buoyed by the comforts of home. The hosts are (+147) to earn the maximum 3 points. Dortmund, who see this fixture as critical to their dying hopes of returning to continental soccer, are priced at (+180). A draw is lined at (+268).

RB Leipzig Results: Mixed Bag in Recent Weeks

RB Leipzig’s defensive poise in 2025 has helped the club stay afloat in the race for European qualification. Five clean sheets in their last seven matches across all competitions has kept them amongst the top in the Bundesliga. But that watertight backline has not been enough to earn a string of victories. In fact, the Red Bulls have won only twice in the Bundesliga in this calendar year, both at home.

That makes it four straight winless performances, supporting calls for the ousting of Marco Rose. That breakup is likely to take place at the end of the season while RB Leipzig search for potential replacements. Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been linked with the soon-to-be vacant position. But for now, Rose and Leipzig must look to return to winning ways, especially if RB Leipzig hopes to entice a strong candidate with future European participation.

Perhaps it would help if the locker room personalities were a bit more congruent. Xavi Simons has found himself in the tabloid headlines surrounding rumors of a big ego causing clashes within the team. An inability to accept advice and receive criticism has allegedly sparked a rift amongst players frustrated by his self-centeredness. Xavi did not necessarily dispel those rumors in comments to German media on Tuesday, stating “everyone has to improve.”

Remaining Borussia Dortmund Fixtures Paint a Grim Picture

After a joyous outing in northern France, in which Dortmund triumphed over LOSC by an aggregate of 3-2, BVB will quickly after to sober up. Their upcoming schedule in the Bundesliga is quite daunting, and their prospects of earning European qualification again are evaporating before our eyes. 6th place is the most optimistic, yet realistic, path to continental football next term.

Dortmund are currently four points away from that coveted position, which even then would put them in the 3rd-tier Conference League. It wouldn’t be well-celebrated nor glamorous, but the Yellow Wall has had so little to be cheerful about that they would take just about any achievement at this point. To earn those critical points and climb up the Bundesliga ladder, Dortmund faces the gauntlet.

RB Leipzig presents their most pressing opportunity this weekend, who currently sit in 6th with 39 points. But after that are meetings with Mainz (home), SC Freiburg (away), and Bayern (away). Each of those 3 opponents currently sit in the top 5 of the table. If Dortmund cannot secure points on the road here in Leipzig, they will likely turn all of their attention to the Champions League.

And who could blame them? Clearly the star-studded premier continental tournament is Dortmund’s favorite competition. Last year’s runners-up defied all odds as underdogs throughout the knockout rounds. BVB are now back in the quarterfinals and could spoil the party for Barcelona next.

RB Leipzig vs Dortmund Prediction: Free Borussia Dortmund Betting Pick

I think this is a classic buy-low spot. RB Leipzig have certainly had their fair share of struggles following the turn of the new year, yet defensive excellence has prevailed throughout. Dortmund have one eye on the Champions League, looking a mess in their domestic duties.

My projections indicate RB Leipzig should be (-174) favorites in the draw no bet market. With over 50 cents of value to be found across the lines of top online sportsbooks, I think they are a clear play for this Saturday. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see Dortmund held scoreless against this stout backline.

To add to my argument, Dortmund will be playing this match on three days’ notice after traveling to Lille on Wednesday. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig has been resting and recovering for the whole week. Sharps seem to be in agreement with my analysis as well. Opening odds saw this line even at (-110) before action came in on Leipzig, pushing the line up.

Go with RB Leipzig Draw No Bet at (-122) at BetUS. Fading Dortmund has been profitable all season, and I believe that continues this weekend in a tough road assignment against one of the league’s premier clubs.
