Juventus vs Atalanta Prediction: Who do Bookmakers Favor?
Juventus are slight favorites to earn the maximum three points this weekend. The hosts are lined at (+143) to win in regulation. Atalanta follow closely behind at (+207). A draw, which would be Juve’s 14th of the season, is priced at (+237).

Who is Juventus’ Best Player Now?
Randall Kolo Muani has stepped onto the scene in Turin to impressive results. “Mottaball” seems well-suited to his pacey style of play, and he has elevated Juve almost immediately upon arrival. Five straight Serie A wins on the bounce see Juventus still with a very outside chance at the Scudetto.
Kolo Muani has scored 5 times in six appearances with his temporary club, being partitioned out on loan by PSG for the remainder of the season. The legendary Roberto Baggio was the last Juventus player to score in each of his first three Serie A appearances for the Old Lady. But despite the domestic winning streak and newfound offensive firepower, the mood is not all well in Turin.
Juve were bounced out of the Champions League by PSV despite taking a 2-1 aggregate lead into the second leg of the tie. Turning their attention to their domestic cup, again Juventus let down their supporters in a calamitous defeat to Empoli on penalties. Their opponent, deep in the relegation mix in Serie A, took an early lead on the road and held on to earn a spot in the semifinals. Juve are now nearly eliminated from all trophies this season.
This match with Atalanta represents an opportunity to defend their top-4 status. By finishing in 4th or better, Juventus will maintain their place in the Champions League next season. And with only one loss to their name in Serie A, it’s hard to argue against their current position. But Lazio and Bologna are nipping at their heels with 50 and 47 points, respectively. Six points behind Inter, Juventus can still believe they could win a title also, so a two-front war commences.
Has Atalanta Ever Won Serie A?
Atalanta is an interesting club to follow. Humbly residing in the automotive industry-driven city of Bergamo, the small club has never won the Scudetto despite playing in Serie A for many decades. But an impressive last few seasons, bolstered by the bottomless pockets of their new owners Fenway Group (who also own Liverpool and the Boston Red Sox baseball team), give rise to the belief Atalanta are here to stay.
The Champions League was not very kind to Atalanta, either, however. Club Brugge managed to oust the black-and-blue-striped outfit in the Round of 16 by an overwhelming aggregate score. Some pundits believed Atalanta could be the Cinderella story of the Champions League.
The club punished Empoli 5-0 on the road following their sobering defeat to Club Brugge. Yet, strangely, Atalanta could not manage to score at home to relegation-threatened Venezia over the weekend. Now they must find some consistency if they are to have any real hope of bursting Inter and Napoli’s bubble at the top.
A home fixture with Inter follows this meeting with Juventus. Win both, and Bergamo will suddenly begin to feel as if this year could finally be the one.
Juventus vs Atalanta Prediction: Free Juventus Betting Pick
For most of the season, I have been backing Juventus. Their initial struggles were overstated, and an ability to pull results out of nowhere provided faith that any Juventus bet was never truly lost until the final whistle blew. Their underlying statistics were just as good as any other elite Serie A side. But in this instance, it appears the string of successive victories has swayed the market too much.
Atalanta belongs right near the top of Serie A with a truly fearsome attacking front. Their goal differential is just two behind the current leaders Inter. According to Understat’s expected points totals, the club deserves to have 55 points, good for second on the table and three above Juventus.
My projections have Atalanta as slight favorites in this matchup, with a draw no bet line of (-116) in favor of the visitors. So at the current price, there is some value on Atalanta. The spread can be bought at +0.25, which would cash in half if Atalanta managed a draw. But I prefer to not pay the juice and instead risk my wager on the plus money of the draw no bet market.
BetUS has Atalanta at (+117) here, so I will recommend that. I think the bet is good as long as it's even money or better. Any shorter, and you’re fighting for scraps. Trust in Atalanta to prove they belong at the top of Serie A while Juve yearns for consistency amidst multiple crash-outs in big tournaments.
