2025 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts Bets Preview

Please understand that our normal preview of the Scotties Tournaments of Hearts bets gets packed with more betting odds. Here below is what we know about the 2025 event — who’s competing, where, and the format of it all. With only certain betting details currently available, we can expand on a few of the teams a little.

Eighteen different teams qualified for the women’s event. Keep in mind, this is an event that spans all across Canada. From the provinces of Nova Scotia all the way to the Yukon and Northwest Territories, there are teams competing.

Team Canada owns the big advantage in 2025. Canada's top team has been together for some time and represents the best of the best. Can they get it done with every bit of pressure on them? After all, this squad may be a preview of what we see from the Canadian ladies in Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The other 17 teams came are spread all throughout Canada. Some provinces have more than one team like Manitoba, who has three. Also, a club or two has gained entry into the event including Team Nunavut for example.

These 18 teams will be thrown into four pools. Now, those are mere warmups. The playoffs are intriguing though as the semifinal and final are part of a day-night doubleheader. We have an idea of who may win and contend.

Scotties Tournament Of Hearts Best Bets For 2025

Never make just a single wager for a tournament like this. The Scotties Tournament Of Hearts Bets for 2025 is a large tournament with several teams that can win it all. With the knockout nature of the playoffs, one just never quite knows when there is kind of a prohibitive favorite. Anyhow, let us begin with some contenders:

Team Canada

This is the team that is the prohibitive favorite. Basically, these ladies are again a preview of what the Olympic team may look like next year. Currently, they are the top-ranked team in Canada. Yes, some of the talent is spread around a little for this event. However, the class is Team Canada with a greater than 70% (71.4% actually) chance to win the event.

Do not look at the rankings completely here. Again, chemistry is important in a tournament like this. Now, it is not the only aspect but it's a big help. Also, Rachel Homan is the reigning world champion from 2024. That experience as a skip is paramount from the early pool matches right into the championship weekend. Few skips here, if any, can out strategize Team Canada here. That is why they are the big odds-on choice here.

Team Manitoba - Einarson

Kerri Einarson and her team face zero pressure coming into this event. Currently, they are the No. 2 ranked team on the table, but they will have nowhere near the expectations of Team Canada. That is the good news. Unfortunately, the bad news is some pundits believe the battle is fierce for second place.

Do not tell that to Einarson and her crew. This skip has won the Scotties four times (2020-2023). She is a three-time world champion as well. Again, if one is looking to make a hedge bet of sorts, it would be on Einarson. The 37-year-old is ready to go up against Homan and company.

Honestly, do not be surprised if this team pulls it off. They have the ability to navigate through the pool play and knockout rounds.

Team Manitoba - Lawes

What do we think of Team Manitoba - Lawes? This is where it gets tough. Kaitlyn Lawes has not experienced the glory in such a long time. There were the Olympic golds but that was seven years ago now. Her team is capable and any team can win this tournament. However, to go up against Homan and Einarson may be too tall a task.

However, the one thing about events like this is the following. The format leads to unexpected results sometimes. Way back in 2015, Lawes and her team pulled off an improbable upset representing Moose Jaw and nearly did again in 2020. She is hard to count out.

Is There Anyone Else Out There?

Is there anyone else for the Scotties Tournament Of Hearts Bets to consider? Team Northern Ontario and Team Nova Scotia have to be at least on the radar. The best thing may be to check their numbers as the weekend approaches. See if there are any shifts. Out of the two squads, Christina Black and Team Nova Scotia may have the gumption to force a shocker here.
