Lakers vs Mavericks Betting Trends

Los Angeles is 19-7 at home this season with a 16-10 record against the spread at Crypto.com Arena. Having racked up eight wins in their past 10 games, the Lakers sit in 4th-place in the Western Conference with a 34-21 overall record.

Dallas is 13-16 away from from home with a 12-15-1 ATS record. The Mavericks (31-27) are in 8th place in the West, just a half game ahead of the Golden State Warriors. They're 5-5 in their past 10 games.

The OVER is 18-11 in Mavs road contests, but it's just 13-13 when the Lakers are playing on their home court.

Doncic coming off best game

Luka Doncic didn't have the best start to his Lakers career. After putting up 28.1 points per game for the Dallas Mavericks before the trade, the 25-year-old averaged just 14.7 points in his first three games for LA, shooting just 35.6% from the field.

However, Doncic found his groove in Saturday's 123-100 win over Denver, scoring 32 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and adding seven assists and four steals. Playing a complementary role, LeBron James registered 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

The Lakers are now 2-2 in games in which Doncic has played.

Anthony Davis out 2 more weeks

If trading a generational superstar wasn't enough, GM Nico Harrison ran into some very bad luck when Anthony Davis injured himself in his first game in a Mavericks uniform. In less than three quarters of action, AD racked up 26 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in his Dallas debut.

Last week, it was announced that Davis' left adductor strain would be re-evaluated in 2 weeks.

With Davis out of action, Kyrie Irving has been left to carry the load. Prior to his 17-point effort in Sunday's loss to the Warriors, Irving turned in three straight games with at least 30 points. Facing two former teammates in Doncic and James, Kyrie should come to play on Tuesday night.

LA Lakers vs Dallas Mavericks NBA Picks

All eyes will be on this TNT showdown between the Lakers and Mavericks as Luka looks to make his former team look even dumber than they already do.

With Anthony Davis still out of the lineup and Doncic's confidence on the rise, we'll take Los Angeles to cover the spread at home (-7.5) with the OVER 227.5 (-110)
