LIV Riyadh Season Opener Fast Facts
Unlike its rival the PGA Tour, there's no cutdown day in LIV Golf events. It's all about the number 54. There are 54 players on the LIV Golf Tour and they all play 54 holes in each event. That's 18 holes fewer than a PGA Tour tournament.
Beyond individual competition, there's also a team element to LIV Golf. There are 13 four-player teams competing each weeks for points in the team championship competition. Along with those 52 players, there are two additional spots in each of the 14 LIV Golf events for wildcard qualifiers.

Let's have a look at the top contenders in the LIV Golf picks for this year's Riyadh season opener.
Jon Rahm (+600)
Rahm's debut season in LIV Golf couldn't have gone much better. He would wind up winning the individual championship.
It took the Spanish star a while to get to the top of the leaderboard, however. He didn't win an event until taking two of the season's final three individual competitions.
Joaquin Niemann (+700)
The Chilean player was the winner of last season's opener in Mexico. Niemann opened the 2023 LIV Golf season with a first-round 59.
He beat Sergio Garcia in a playoff to take that title. Niemann also won last year's Saudi Arabian tournament in Jeddah. He wound up as the runner-up to Rahm in the season points standings.
Tyrrell Hatton (+700)
Hatton knocked down 192 birdies last year, which was second among all LIV golfers. The English player wound up fourth in points, with a tournament victory at Nashville.
Hatton will also be coming into this event carrying a hot hand. He was the winner two weeks ago of the Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour.
Bryson DeChambeau (+900)
DeChambeau is also coming to Riyadh carrying a hot stick. He was the runner-up in last week's International Series India.
In two years on the LIV Golf Tour, DeChambeau has two victories. However, both of those wins came in 2023.
Riyadh LIV Golf Longshots To Consider
Brooks Koepka (+1400) tends to start off well in the golf season. And Saudi Arabia has been kind to him. Koepka won two years in a row at Jeddah (2022, 2023).
The Riyadh layout doesn't figure to be giving away a lot of birdies. That could help Cameron Smith (+1200). He was the best on the the greens last season among LIV players, averaging 1.2 putts per hole.
Riyadh LIV Golf Prop Bets
BetUS is offfering a prop wager on LIV golfers winning all four of golf's majors this year. LIV players have won majors in each of the past two years. Rahm won the 2023 Masters and Koepka captured the 2023 PGA Championship. Last year, DeChambeau won the US Open. However, taking all four seems like a long shot. That's why you'll get +3500 odds with this prop play.
At Bovada, you can get a +250 betting line on Rahm finishing in the top 20 (plus ties) in every 2025 LIV event. Rahm is +200 to be the LIV series points leader.
You'll get a +800 betting line on a prop calling for DeChambeau and Hatton to each with two LIV tournaments during the 2025 season.
Riyadh LIV Golf Pick
Niemann's ability to shave points from par make him a perennial threat to win any tournament. Last year, the Chilean led all LIV golfers in birdies (195) and eagles (nine).
Niemann was also second in driving distance (322.5 yards) and third in greens in regulation (72.78%). That's consistency from tee to green. And for openers, we'll take that consistency and go with Niemann to be the Riyadh winner in the LIV Golf picks.
