OSB Baltimore To Eliminate Pittsburgh For The Season

The AFC spices up the nightcap for the NFL Wildcard Round here at Online Sports Betting. Now, we preview a game with two teams who are very familiar with one another. The Baltimore Ravens battle the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday night. Houston comes in with the fourth seed courtesy of winning the AFC South. Los Angeles rolls in as the fifth seed, Chicago is just trying to win a game. The Steelers vs Ravens bets wonder if this finale to the trilogy will be closer than expected.

  • What? NFL 2024/2025 Wildcard Round - Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens
  • Where? M&T Bank Stadium - Baltimore, Maryland
  • When? Saturday January 11th, 2025 at 8:00 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video

The second of three AFC games expects to get personal and probably ugly, too. Now, Pittsburgh has clawed their way to 10 wins, but Baltimore stole the division away behind a 12-5 record. Yes, the Ravens took control in December as Pittsburgh began to falter. Maybe teams figured out the Steelers. Although, it seems Pittsburgh runs out of gas this time of year all too often.

Steelers vs Ravens Bets Clash To Represent The AFC North

Steelers vs Ravens bets clash to represent the AFC North. Baltimore and Pittsburgh face off for the third time. Pittsburgh took the early meeting and Baltimore rebounded to take the contest in December. This is the one that matters, however. For the loser, there is no tomorrow. For the winner, a trip on the road is likely to Buffalo unless there is a huge upset. Some were looking at a potential winter storm. That chance seems to have lessened but some snow showers could be in the air for this playoff game.

The last four games of the regular season were great for Baltimore. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens scored 30+ points in each game and even defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers. A 17-point rally cemented the win and a victory. Baltimore rolled over Houston in Houston and even won their home finale over Cleveland. That avenged an early season loss as the Ravens rolled up their 12th victory of the 2024-25 campaign and another AFC North title.

Pittsburgh suddenly looks very vulnerable. It is more than the four consecutive defeats. The how is more troubling. Baltimore blew out Pittsburgh late. Kansas City kept the Steelers neutralized even without much of a rushing attack. Pittsburgh gave up around 400 yards a game in those losses to Baltimore, Kansas City, and Philadelphia. It revealed a lot on how the Steelers are pretty much a fringe playoff team.

This game breaks down simply. Can Pittsburgh's defense rise up one more time and force enough mistakes to keep the Steelers in the game? If not, Pittsburgh cannot play catch-up and things could get ugly quickly. There could be a deja-vu like result on Saturday night in Baltimore.

Some Fun With Player Props

Second, Steelers vs Ravens bets allow some fun with player props. The game total comes in at 43.5 which is reasonable unless that storm system comes a little further north. Again, keep an eye on the weather just in case. Winter has a way of rewriting the script unexpectedly. After all, outdoor games always tend to have their own twists this time of year. It's January!

So, the last meeting saw Baltimore pound the football into the ground against Pittsburgh. The result was 220 yards and a late drubbing. Even the Ravens defense got involved in the scoring. They would often in the final few weeks of the regular season. Baltimore looked more balanced after the bye week than it did during the first part of the 2024-25 campaign. Honestly, it was like the bye week rejuvenated the Ravens.

Derrick Henry may be the big play here. The only thing Henry did not do in the second meeting is score a rushing touchdown. He had 162 yards on 24 carries. Baltimore will not have Zay Flowers due to injury so the Ravens will need the All-Pro Running Back even more. Expect the Ravens to offer a few different looks and run the ball up to 40 times or more on Saturday night.

Again, one can go with the 110+ rushing yards or the 125+ total yards here. Both are right around +125 to +130 depending on the sportsbook. That 125+ is pretty hard to pass up.

Baltimore Wants To Send A Message To Buffalo

Finally, the Steelers vs Ravens bets know that Baltimore wants to send a message to Buffalo. The Bills are the likely opponent and will want revenge at home. However, the Ravens have the ability to play their version of run-pass option power football. Keeping Josh Allen and Buffalo off the field will be their priority. Their goal is the same against Pittsburgh. Keep the defense off the field and move those chains offensively.

Something that is strange is the Pittsburgh rushing offense averaged a season-high 4.9 yards per carry in that second Baltimore game. Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris can get some yards but will it be enough? Warren might have the higher upside so search for a book that has a good number for around 40+ yards.

Finally, do not forget Russell Wilson's penchant for turnovers late in the season. He could have a fumble or toss an interception.
