Kirk Cousins and the Falcons need to keep playing offense. Slowing the game down does not suit them. Overall, the Falcons allow 24 points a game and score 24.6 per contest. The good news is they play a Saints team that has allowed more than 30 points a contest since Week 3.

Atlanta can air things out against New Orleans. However, it is worth noting that New Orleans did sell and traded their best secondary player in Marcus Lattimore. Add in that the Saints allow 5.1 yards per carry and the Falcons should be able to score 30+ points on Sunday with New Orleans probably scoring 20+. We will take a shot on that over at 46.5.

Falcons And Saints Could Be Nip And Tuck For A Bit

So, Falcons vs Saints bets could be nip and tuck for a bit. The Falcons have been known to keep things far more interesting than they should. Look at last week as Exhibit A. That is what could be troubling. Also, there was that game at home against Seattle where the Falcons appeared out of it from the opening whistle. Even Week 1 against Pittsburgh was an exercise in utter sloppiness and frustration. This team cannot turn the ball over multiple times and expect to win. That is pretty academic.

Injury reports for New Orleans almost matter little at this point. Whomever is under center has Alvin Kamara, a couple receivers, and that is about it. Oh wait. Chris Olave is now out too. After Derek Carr came back (oblique), he arguably had one of his worst games of the season against the Panthers. The Saints will need to run more as Carr has not exceeded 250 yards passing all season. Alvin Kamara will have to continue to be the Bugs Bunny of this offense (over 1,000 total yards from scrimmage).

The dilemma may be does Carr feel responsible at all. Carr has gotten Allen fired twice (go back to the early Raider days). It is pretty crazy when one thinks about it. Anyway, this may be more about Atlanta than anything else. Now, the NFC South seems all but settled for Atlanta which means chaos seems right around the corner. Look at how the race wound up last season or 2022 for that matter. One never quite knows.

Opening numbers suggest a fun little bet is possible here on yes, the New Orleans first quarter moneyline. It's downright crazy but for a few dollars, this might be worth taking a chance on.
