Oddsmakers are clearly anticipating that the next stop on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit, the Xfinity 500, will be an extremely competitive and close race. But isn't that usually the case when the world's best stock car drivers are playing bump and run through the short-track mayhem of Martinsville Speedway?

Three drivers are tightly bunched atop the odds board for this race. Kyle Larson is set as the +450 favorite. However, right on his tail are Denny Hamlin (+500) and Ryan Blaney (+600).

Let's take a look at the latest NASCAR Xfinity 500 odds from the leading online sportsbooks.

William Byron is the fourth betting choice in this betting market at +700. You can get Chase Elliott at odds of +850. No other driver has a shorter betting line than +1000.

The drivers will cover 500 laps around the 0.526-mile Martinsville Speedway oval, for a total race distance of 263 miles. Stages of the race are divided up into 130, 130 and 240-lap segments.

This will be the third race since the playoff field was cut from 12 to eight drivers. After one more race, the playoff race will be trimmed to the NASCAR Final Four, who will contest for the NASCAR Cup Series championship in the final race of the year at Phoenix on November 10. With their wins over the past two races, Joey Logano and Tyler Reddick have already locked in two of those four spots.

Kyle Larson (+450)

Larson was second at Martinsville in the spring race. He won on this track in the spring of 2023.

Over his last four Martinsville starts, the driver of the No. 5 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports has never finished worse than sixth.

Denny Hamlin (+500)

Hamlin and Blaney ran neck and neck at the front of the pack for much of last year's Xfinity 500. His average finish over the last four Martinsville races is 5.75.

Hamlin has driven his No. 11 Toyota to five career wins on this track.

Ryan Blaney (+650)

Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Blaney was the winner of this race last year. He would lead the final two of three stages of the race en route to his victory.

Martinsville is among Blaney's favorite tracks. The Team Penske Ford driver has run in the top 10 there in 10 of the last 12 races and has never finished worse than 11th over that span of time.

William Byron (+700)

Byron was the winner of the spring race at Martinsville this year and in 2022. He's never won this race in five tries.

However, the driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports did finish second in the Xfinity 500 in 2019.

Chase Elliott (+850)

Elliott has recorded seven top-10 finishes in his last nine starts at Martinsville. That includes a win in the 2020 Xfinity 500.

However, there's been no wins for Elliott since his late-season victory at Talledega in 2022. That was 76 races ago.

Best NASCAR Xfinity 500 Prop Bets

The Toyotas of Joe Gibbs Racing are currently all over the leaderboard in the standings in the NASCAR Cup Series entering the Xfinity 500. And it's Toyota that is set as the best bet to win the manufacturer's title in a NASCAR prop bet.

However, Hendrick Motorsports, the team of such drivers as Larson and Byron, are set as the +225 chalk to be the team providing the 2024 series-winning driver.

Bell, Logano, Reddick Top NASCAR Cup Series Futures

Their victories in the first two rounds of the NASCAR elite eight not only guarantee Logano and Reddick places in the final four, it's got the oddsmakers touting them for a title shot.

+300

Three drivers - Logano, Reddick and current NASCAR Cup Series points leader Christopher Bell - are all set at favorite's odds of +300 to win the NASCAR Cup Series championship. Of the trio, Logano is a two-time former champion. He won in 2018 and 2022.

Larson (+500) and Byron (+650) are also given odds shorter than +1000 to be the Cup Series champ. Larson won the title in 2021.

NASCAR Xfinity 500 Betting Pick

Last year's win here put Blaney in the final four of the NASCAR playoffs and he would go on to win his first title. Might history repeat itself?

+600

Sitting sixth in the standings, Blaney will need a monster day in Sunday's Xfinity 500 to help him get through to the final four. A win, though, would certify his spot in the championship group.
