It's time for one of the most glamorous nights of the year with Miss Universe 2024 taking place in Mexico on Saturday night. 130 women from across the world are participating in the pageant and in our Miss Universe entertainment betting picks we tell you who to put your money on.

The 2024 pageant will be the 73rd edition of Miss Universe and the first time it has been held in Mexico since 2007.
The Preliminaries and National Costume Show is taking place on Thursday, November 14th, with Miss Universe 2024 crowned on Saturday, November 16th in a star-studded show.
Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua won the 2023 event. In this yearโs event, Geyssell Garcรญa will represent the land of lakes and volcanoes, looking to continue Palacios's legacy.
Garcia will have plenty of competition. So let's take a look at some of the main contenders and betting favorites to win the pageant this year.
Betting to win Miss Universe 2024
Two contenders lead the way in the latest Miss Universe Betting Odds, Miss Columbia Daniela Toloza (+800), and Miss Thailand Suchata Chuangsri (+800).
In what is a close and competitive-looking betting market, Miss Puerto Rico Jennifer Colรณn (+900), and Miss Ukraine Alina Ponomarenko (+1000) are also among the betting favorites.

Daniela Toloza +800
Daniela Toloza was crowned Miss Universe Valle in April, paving the way for her to represent her department in the national Miss Universe Colombia pageant.
Toloza won Miss Columbia in June, where she was crowned by 2023 winner Camila Avella.
Avella was a +900 betting favorite to win the Miss Universe title in 2023. Her compatriot will be hoping to improve on Avellaโs top-five finish in last yearโs pageant.
Daniela Toloza has well-documented her journey into pageantry on her social media. Keen to embrace inclusivity and body positivity, Toloza has openly discussed her battles earlier in life when she struggled with being overweight.
A force for good, Toloza has worked with her local fashion chamber on their Inclusion Runway project - a platform that gives space to people with physical disabilities in the fashion scene.
Toloza seeks to become the third Columbian to win the award. Previous winners were Luz Marina Zuluaga in 1958 and Paulina Vega in 2014.
Suchata Chuangsri +800
Representing Bangkok, Suchata โOpalโ Chuangsri was crowned Miss Universe Thailand in July.

The 21-year-old first entered her domestic event in 2022 and finished third runner-up. She was later promoted to the second runner-up after one of the higher-finishing contestants pulled out.
Opal has plenty going for her. She is extremely elegant and well-spoken, fluent in Thai, English and Chinese. She graduated with a focus on Chinese language and is now studying Political Science.
Like all the women entering the pageant, Opal has a captivating back story. At the age of 16 Opal had a major health scare when she was diagnosed with a non-cancerous 10 cm lump on her breast.
Surgery was required to remove the growth and her experience is a factor in her entering pageants, as she sees it as a way of raising awareness about breast cancer.
Outside bets
Plenty can happen in pageants to influence the judges one way or the other. The two favorites may have inspiring backstories. But all 130 competitors will come with their own tales to tell about their own respective journeys.
Two other women worth mentioning are Celinee Santos of the Dominican Republic and Ashley Callingbull of Canada.
Starting with Celinee Santos, this will be the third time the 24-year-old has represented her country at an international beauty pageant.
Okay, all the women have gone through the experience of winning their own domestic competition, they know how all this works.
But Santos is already an experienced hand in such events. She previously placed fourth runner-up in the 2022 Miss International (Jasmin Selberg of Germany was the winner).ย Santos also entered the 2019 Miss International edition where she recorded a Top-20 finish.
As for Ashley Callingbull, the 35-year-old is a former Mrs. Universe winner (2015). And she was also a finalist in Miss Universe Canada back in 2013.
A First Nations Canadian, Callingbull received the Role Model Award from the United Nations in 2015. She is also an actress and has regularly used her high profile to campaign for womenโs rights against domestic violence.
Best bets
For our entertainment online betting pick to win Miss Universe 2024 we have to go with Suchata โOpalโ Chuangsri at +800. She is justifiably one of the betting favorites. And we are happy to wager on her adding Miss Universe to her Miss Universe Thailand title.
For a side wager, we are backing Ashley Callingbull to finish in the top ten.
The Canadian offers something completely different and diverse. We can see her being a real contender, but probably not having quite enough to win the pageant outright.
