Two years since their epic encounter in New York, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will meet for a second time on November 15th. Taylor is the undisputed women’s super lightweight champion and the betting favorite. Can the Irish superstar retain her belts against a determined Serrano? Katie Taylor is putting her IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO women's super lightweight titles on the line against Amanda Serrano.

The fight is on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson. It was originally scheduled to take place on July 20th. Due to an injury sustained by Tyson, the main event was postponed, and as a result, so was Taylor’s fight with Serrano.

The two boxers first met in an all-time classic fight in April 2022 at Madison Square Garden. On that occasion, Taylor was the undisputed lightweight champion. The fight was the first women’s boxing match to top the bill at The Garden. It was also described as the biggest women’s fight of all time.

The contest lived up to its billing. Serrana hurt Taylor in the fifth. But Taylor hasn’t been a champion boxer all these years for no reason and came back strongly to win by a split decision.

The scorecards read 94–96, 97–93, and 96–93. Sports Illustrated later named it their Fight of the Year.

Amanda Serrano will take to the ring in Dallas with a professional career record of 47 wins, two losses, and one draw. The far more experienced Serrano has won 31 of her fights by knockout.

Serrano is on a five-fight winning streak since her loss to Taylor. The most recent of her wins came against Stevie Morgan in July 2024 by TKO.

The challenger is the younger of the two fighters by two years. But despite this, the 36-year-old has had 26 more professional fights than Taylor has. Serrano will hope her vast experience will be enough to give her the edge if the fight again goes the distance.
