The 2024 Blast Premier Fall Showdown is already underway, which means it's time to dig into some Counter-Strike betting odds and predictions.

While it’s still summer in many places around the world, the 2024 Blast Premier Counter-Strike Fall Showdown is already up and running. And with a full slate of matches scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 22 and Friday, August 23, we can’t help but be compelled to drop predictions for every single one.

  • What: 2024 Blast Premier Counter-Strike Showdown
  • When: August 21 through August 25
  • Where: Remote
  • Prize Purse: $20,000 for first place plus qualification for the Fall Final
  • Reigning Champion: Complexity Gaming

Like most Counter-Strike Blast Premier competitions, the Fall Showdown uses a single-elimination format. Every match is also a best-of-three set. Notably, this does not just change during the final round. Even the championship head-to-head is best-of-three.

Five clashes are currently set for August 22 and August 23. Here are the latest Counter-Strike betting lines for all of those matchups

As always, please remember to double-check these online esports betting odds before settling on a wager. Though the Counter-Strike Fall Showdown plays out incredibly quickly, the best esports online betting sites will continue to adjust their odds in real-time. It’s important you make sure you’re working with the latest information. This rings especially true if you’re acting on live Counter-Strike betting lines. The odds on those wagers change constantly as the action unfolds.

Last year’s Fall Showdown champion, Complexity Gaming, is back to defend their title. They’ll be facing Metizport on Thursday in a matchup that’s bound to draw a lot of eyeballs. Do they have the inside track on advancing? And which way are we leaning on the other matchups? Let’s get to some Counter-Strike Fall Showdown predictions!

Can Complexity Gaming Successfully Defend Their Counter-Strike Fall Showdown Title?

The reigning Blast Premier Fall Showdown winner is getting plenty of love from odds providers. Complexity (-400) enters as a monster favorite over Metizport (+305).

The logic here is infallible. Complexity had some choppy displays during Blast Premier Fall Groups play, but they ripped off plenty of dominant efforts during IEM Cologne 2024.

By contrast, Metizport enters on a three-match losing streak and has battled inconsistent returns on a variety of maps.

OSB Prediction: Complexity (-400)

Zero Tenacity Faces Uphill Battle Against Virtus.Pro

Oddsmakers are not giving Zero Tenacity (+335) much of a chance against Virtus.Pro (-450). In fact, Virtus.Pro enters as the heaviest favorite across this entire two-day slate.

Building a case against linemakers is ridiculously difficult. With the exception of a nice run at the Elisa Invitational, Zero Tenacity is having a rough go since the beginning of May. Most recently, they lost two close fought battles against Rebels and OG at Perfect World Shanghai Major.

On top of that, Virtus.Pro is simply a well-oiled machine. Pretty much everyone in their top lineup is a long-term mainstay, and the squad as a whole has almost 2,400 Counter-Strike maps on their resume.

That’s a lot of reps together. Combined with player Jame’s absurd kill-to-death differential, Virtus.Pro is well-positioned to dispatch Zero Tenacity without much drama.

Will Falcons Make Quick Work of M80?

Here we have yet another one of Thursday's Counter-Strike Blast Premier schedule spitting out a heavy-favorite situation. (Fear not, fans of chaos. Friday’s two matchups figure to be much more difficult to parse.)

Oddsmakers have Falcons (-315) as massive favorites over M80 (+245). This logic doesn’t necessarily track when looking at the overall vitals. Even if you believe in Falcons, the kill-to-death ratio for M80 (1.11) verges on absurd.

However, after stringing together 13 consecutive victories through July and early August, M80 stumbled against Wildcard at the CCT Season 2 North American Invitational. Falcons, on the other hand, wound up dispatching both BIG and Virtus.Pro during the IEM Cologne 2024. They also managed to put up a real fight against FaZe—yes, that FaZe—at that same tournament.

Make no mistake, Falcons are far from perfect. But they appear to be on the ascent.

OSB Prediction: Falcons (-315)

Can Extensive Counter-Strike Map Experience Carry BIG When They Take on GamerLegion?

BIG (-125) enters as the slight favorite over GamerLegion (+105) in Friday’s showdown. And to us, it feels like experience could be carrying the early interest in them.

GamerLegion now has 1,100 Counter-Strike maps under their belt. That’s a decent amount. But BIG has played across nearly 1,700 maps. That difference could matter in a best-of-three, single-elimination setting.

Still, BIG has hit something of a rough patch, losing five of their last seven rounds. After losing three rounds in a row of their own, GamerLegion just delivered a dominant victory over TSM. And given how well they performed at ESL Challenger Atlanta earlier this month, we think they’ll have the edge on Friday.

OSB Prediction: GamerLegion (+105)

Is Cloud9 Facing paiN at the Opportune Time?

The most recent performances from paiN (+100) have been all over the place in recent outings. Though they were able to pull out some victories at the IEM Cologne 2024, they ended up being obliterated by G2 in straight rounds. Their current core lineup also has turned in zero top three LAN placements since forming this past May.

Conversely, though, the top lineup for Cloud9 (-125) doesn’t have a ton of experience. They have played 21 maps, through which they’re a shaky 13-0-8. They also don’t have any top three LAN placings.

And yet, Cloud9 is currently on a five-match winning streak. That stretch has included victories over BLEED, Ninjas in Pyjamas, 500, Johnny Speeds and Passion UA. For our money, we’re inclined to ride that momentum.

OSB Prediction: Cloud9 (-125)
