Not one to sit on his hands until November, Jake Paul has drafted in bare-knuckle fighter Mike Perry to take Tysonâs place.
Jake Paul is the bigger man, and many pundits believe his size advantage makes him the more likely to win the showdown.
But Mike Perry is a proven fighter. He has had a distinguished career in the UFC and is now the (beaten-up) face of the BKFC promotion, where he boasts a 5-0 record in bare-knuckle fights.
Such is the lure of a Jake Paul fight, Perry was happy to step out of the world of bare-knuckle fighting to don the boxing gloves for only the second time in his career.
Itâs a golden opportunity for Perry. If he wins, he could even get a lucrative rematch. If he loses, he is still getting a huge payday. And at the very least he is raising his profile, which could lead to even more lucrative bouts further down the road.
Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry Betting Odds
First up, this is an eight-round contest sanctioned at the 200-pound weight class.
Jake Paul is a natural at this weight, whereas Mike Perry is used to fighting at 185 pounds in BKFC and was even lighter at 170 pounds in the UFC before that.
Hypothetically, if this is an even-weight contest, even given Jake Paulâs impressive transition into boxing, we would still have to favor Mike Perry for the win. The man is a fighting machine who knows how to brawl.
But it isnât an even weight contest, and as a result, Jake Paul is the favorite given his superior weight advantage.
On the money line, Jake Paul is -350, and Mike Perry is +250.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry Betting Picks and Predictions
Going down the props bets route might be the most profitable here. Why? Because it is essentially an exhibition fight.
Under normal circumstances, how could we back a YouTuber to beat an experienced MMA fighter? We couldnât. But that doesnât mean Jake Paul wonât win. Paul is the bigger man and he has a very good boxing technique.
He will have had the best training and preparation heading into this fight, and along with his size difference, he should be good enough to keep Perry at arm's length.
Perry wonât win this on points. If you feel Perry will win, then back him to win by KO/TKO/DQ.
As for Jake Paul, he is too short to be backed on the money line at -350. We feel he wins the fight, But we are looking at alternative markets to back.
Our alternative pick is for the fight to end early. Perry will go looking for a quick finish. He will also want to entertain. It could lead to more lucrative fights.
Perry will either connect with a big shot or get taken out by Paul while looking for his own KO. The props markets aren't live yet. When they are, a bet on either man to win by KO or under on the total rounds market is the way to go.
