Alex Pereira vs. Jiri Prochazka Prop Bet
This main event was thrown together a few weeks ago after Conor McGregor injured his pinky toe. No worries though because we now have ourselves an even more banger of a fight for the heavyweight title. When it comes to betting on Pereira vs. Prochazka props, we’re most interested in the exact fight outcome. Here are all the betting options available:
Outcome | |||
---|---|---|---|
Pereira by KO | +110 | +110 | +110 |
Pereira by Submission | +2800 | +2800 | +2800 |
Pereira by Decision | +650 | +650 | +650 |
Prochazka by KO | +200 | +200 | +200 |
Prochazka by Submission | +1000 | +1000 | +1000 |
Prochazka by Decision | +750 | +750 | +750 |
Draw | +6600 | +6600 | +6600 |
Spoiler alert: someone is getting knocked out in the main event. We’d be absolutely shocked if it ended by decision or submission. These two don't know anything else besides doing the knockout, or on the rare occasion, being knocked out themselves.
That’s certainly what happened the first time they fought. Yes, this is a rematch from UFC 295 in November 2023. On that night, Pereira finished Prochazkain the second round with an elbow. It added to the legend of Pereira, who’s now a two-division champ in the UFC in only 12 career MMA bouts. When you’re an all-time striker like Pereira, you can reach this level of success despite your inexperience.
However, we’re not counting out Prochazka in the second go-round. Maybe he isn’t a former kickboxing legend like Pereira, but Prochazka is a dangerous finisher in his own right. Get this, 26 of his 30 career wins have been way of KO. We should remember Prochazka was coming off a gnarly shoulder injury during the first meeting, an injury that sidelined him for almost 18 months.
We’re leaning toward Prochazka in this one as the underdog, and yes, by KO. He should be sharper than he was during the first bout and Pereira is very hit-able to begin with. This title fight has upset written all over it.
Anthony Smith vs. Roman Dolidze Prop Bet
Here’s another fight that was scheduled last minute. Originally, a light heavyweight clash between Jamal Hill and Carlos Ulberg was planned. Hill dropped and was replaced by Smith. Then Ulberg dropped and in entered Dolidze on nine days notice. It’s been chaotic, which makes us want to wager the go-the-distance prop between Smith and Dolidze. Here’s how UFC betting sites are pegging that outcome:
Dolidze is the betting favorite despite losing two straight fights. At one point, we had Dolidze penciled in as a title contender at light heavyweight. Not only is he arguably the best grappler in the division, but Dolidze can throw bombs too. This well-rounded style made him a threat against any opponent or so we thought before two straight decision defeats. The 35-year-old is at a crossroads of sorts.
Smith is also 35 years old, but an “old” 35 years old. Whereas Dolidze has 15 career fights, Smith has a whopping 56! He’s been in wars with top-level competition and that matters in this one because Dolidze could be in his own head after recent losses. Smith is also a balanced fighter and that’s evident by his win count — 20 KOs, 15 submissions, and only three decisions.
Our money says this bout ends BEFORE the judges get to decide it. Despite the downtrend, we still think Dolidze is a quality fighter. We’re thinking Dolidze knocks out Smith inside the distance. Smith has suffered 11 career knockdowns over his career so he’s very susceptible to it anyway.
Cub Swanson vs. Andre Fili Prop Bet
Here again, it’s a clash of two veteran fighters. Swanson is a whopping 40 years old, while Fili is 34 years. We expect two gunslingers to let us loose hence why we’re putting money Fili-Swanson go the distance bet. Yes, again, because it’s a worthwhile opportunity. Here are the odds:
For the second straight time, our money is saying no on this wager. On one hand, Swanson is way “over the hill.” Fighters at his age and his mileage are prone to getting stopped early. Then again, Fili is vulnerable despite being six years younger. The thing about Fili is his chin is seemingly gone. Dan Ige finished him last time out and he can’t bang like he used to.
We’re not sure who wins, we just know it’s ending before the third round ends. Grab the popcorn and wait for the finish in this one!
