The debut of the League of Legends Esports World Cup is just about upon us, and based on the field for its maiden voyage, this tournament promises to be a doozy. Which teams have the best odds to win the 2024 LoL World Cup? That’s what we’re here to answer.

To that end, below are the latest League of Legends betting odds for the first-ever Esports World Cup:
Please remember to double-check these online esports betting odds right up until you are ready to submit your wager. Our League of Legends World Cup betting lines are accurate entering Thursday, June 27. This gives the top online sportsbooks in the United States plenty of time to make adjustments to their eSports World Cup futures before the LoL bracket begins on Thursday, July 5.
Though Gen.G (-110) is entering as a fairly decisive favorite over the field, there is no shortage of viable contenders to win it all in Riyadh. Plus, given the single elimination format, it really is anyone’s tournament to win.
Full Breakdown for League of Legends World Cup Schedule and Rules
The Esports World Cup is a new venture backed by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism and coordinated in partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation. The tournament is replacing the Gamers8 Festival, and it is set to be one of the biggest undertakings in esports history.
Over the course of roughly eight weeks, from July 3 until August 25, there will be 22 different video game titles that fall under the World Cup umbrella. That includes the League of Legends bracket.
Unlike other LoL events, this one will be short-lived. The single-elimination setups means that if you lose, you’re out. And with only the top eight League of Legends teams on the docket, there will be a total of three rounds and seven matches unfolding over the course of a few days.
So, which squad is the best bet to win the LoL World Cup in 2024? Let’s have a look!
Should Gen.G be Favored to Win the Esports World Cup?
Gen.G, also known as Generational Griefers, enter the World Cup as -110 favorites. And they have been on an absolute tear this year.
Winning 90 percent of their matches has earned them a No. 1 world ranking. Led by the 25-year-old player Kiin, Gen.G is currently on a 23-match winning streak. Their only loss of the year, in fact, came all the way back in February.
Not surprisingly, there seemed to be a marked turn in Gen.G’s performance during the beginning and middle of the year. They went from a powerhouse to what feels like an absolute juggernaut. Paying out less than even money in a single-elimination tournament is a big deal—and the odds speak for themselves.
Can Bilibili Gaming Get Back on Top in the League of Legends Hierarchy?
Picking up Bilibili Gaming (+260) on a payout better than 2.6-to-1 teases incredible value. Sure, Gen.G is on a roll. But do you know the last team in this tournament to edge them out? You guessed it: Bilibili Gaming.
Granted, that victory came all the way back in March 2023. But if you will recall, Bilibili Gaming was favored to win the League of Legends 2024 Mid-Season Invitational, a tournament that included Gen.G.
Indeed, the latter has been on a heater this year. But Bilibili Gaming’s bin and Xun are performing at the peak of their powers. Their optimization of primary characters is second to none. Don’t write them off just because Gen.G is killing it.
Who’s the Better Bet to Win the LoL World Cup: G2 Esports or Top Esports?
The League of Legends betting futures give the edge to G2 Esports (+725) over Top Esports (+1100)—and it’s a pretty decisive one at that. We’re not so sure we agree.
Top Esports is currently on a six-match winning streak and now 12-1 for the current season. Previous iterations of the roster have lacked opening-bell aggression. This squad is different. They generate waaaay more damage per minute and are far more likely to successfully draw first blood.
Even so, they pair that increased aggression with measured defense and opportunism. It is a team-wide balance that we presently value more than the stand-up product being delivered by G2 Esports.
2024 Esports World Cup League of Legends Prediction
Action continues to flood toward Gen.G (-110). We can’t necessarily argue against them.
However, we do find ourselves drawn to a couple of other squads, too. We already laid out our intrigue for Top Esports (+1100) and Bilibili Gaming (+260). Go ahead and add T1 (+470) to the list of potential winners as well. They aren’t off to the hottest start to the summer (8-3), but they maintain their opening-round intensity, and they are near-unbeatable when leading matches at the halfway point.
Still, we have concerns about their consistency and ability to win from behind. Going with Gen.G feels like the safe call.
And yet, the single-elimination setup has us smitten with Top Esports. They are the perfect boom-or-bust dice roll, in our humble opinion. And at 11-to-1 odds, we find ourselves unable to pass them up.
