Deadpool & Wolverine Best Bets

One of the most anticipated movie releases of 2024 is Deadpool & Wolverine, which drops in late July. Anticipation is so high that you can actually bet on the movie’s outcomes. We’re serious — and they’re worthy bets too. Keep on reading and we’ll tell you exactly how to profit from this.

Best Bets For Deadpool & Wolverine

There’s a host of different Deadpool & Wolverine bets available at top entertainment betting sites. Out of all those, three stood out as being the most worth your time AND money. Here they are:

Worldwide Gross After Six Months

This is a simple over/under bet on the movie’s gross figures worldwide. Bookmakers have pegged the box-office number squarely at $960 million, as seen below:

Over $960 Million-110-110-110
Under $960 Million-110-110-110

We have to level-set this bet with one important note: the movie is Rated R. That’s historic for two reasons. For one, it’s the first-ever Rated R movie in Disney history and of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But second, and more important for this bet, only two Rated R movies have ever grossed more than $960 worldwide. Because of the age limit, naturally, it’s tougher for Rated R movies to hit the billion-dollar mark unlike PG-13 or PG movies.

The first two Deadpool movies are also Rated R — these were made by 20th Century Fox, before it was bought out by Disney. Both those movies topped out right under $800 million — ranking third and fourth all-time in the Rated R category. The only Rated R flicks that grossed higher are Oppenheimer ($971 million) and The Joker (almost $1.1 billion).

What has the potential to push this new movie over the top — and above the $960 million figure — is the inclusion of Wolverine. Hugh Jackman returns to reprise the role after “retiring” it in his own Rated R “Logan” flick back in 2017, which grossed $619 million. Both Deadpool and Wolverine are the famed characters of the X-Men so neither lacks fanfare.

You have all those factors to weigh, but another is the state of superhero movies in general. The genre has sputtered at the box office as of late bringing worries of “superhero fatigue.” Last year’s The Marvels release had the lowest opening box office numbers in MCU history. Before that, other pictures like “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “Eternals” also underperformed.

But here’s what Deadpool & Wolverine has going for it that those didn’t: it’s the only MCU release of all 2024. Planned 2024 movies for Captain America, Blade, and Thunderbolts were all moved. To us, that makes Deadpool & Wolverine very likely to go over $960 million. If anything, audiences will be starved for tight-wearing characters this year. Add in the uniqueness of an R-rated movie on Disney and we’re firmly on betting the over.

Who Drops More F Bombs?

Alright, this is just a purely fun bet — one you could probably only get in a Deadpool movie. Who’s going to say that four-letter curse word more in the movie, Deadpool or Wolverine? Here’s the odds:

OutcomeMyBookieBetUSBetOnline
Deadpool-110-110-110
Wolverine-110-110-110

The official trailer of the movie came out a week ago. In it, both are heard saying “let’s effin go” so you know both will be dropping f-bombs pretty often. However, we have Deadpool saying more.

At the end of the day, this is more of a Deadpool movie than a Wolverine one. Deadpool is the main character that’s going to get more screen time, thus more opportunity to do what he does best — talk completely unfiltered, Disney censors be damned.

Who Will Have More Kills?

The same type of bet here, only this time on the kill count. Surprisingly, the odds are exactly the same as the last one:

OutcomeMyBookieBetUSBetOnline
Deadpool-110-110-110
Wolverine-110-110-110

Our money is on Deadpool. Again. We’re actually more confident in this hitting than the f-bomb one. This confidence comes from watching the official trailer.

In the trailer, Wolverine isn’t portrayed as the ass-kicking badass we’ve come to know. There’s a scene where he struggles to even bring out his trademark adamantium claws. How’s Wolverine supposed to rack up a higher kill count than Deadpool when his biggest weapon barely even works? Moreover, the movie seems to hint that Wolverine has let down his fellow mutants.

We’re sure Wolverine’s story arc in the upcoming movie will go from zero to hero — but is that enough time to outkill Deadpool? We highly doubt it, hence this wager.
